Title: Depositing Bitcoins on SR Post by: juicer25 on March 20, 2013, 11:28:12 PM so it's my first time depositing BTC onto SR and the funds sent out of my wallet, but they aren't showing up in my account balances, does it normally take time for them to show up in my account or did I get robbed? Somebody experienced please let me know what's going on, thank you.

You should be able to see the number of confirmations of the transaction in your wallet, this won't start to increase until a new block is created. When the network is busy this can take more than an hour

Title: Re: Depositing Bitcoins on SR Post by: koin on March 20, 2013, 11:51:22 PM does it normally take time for them to show up in my account or did I get robbed? you can check if your transaction has confirmed yet by entering the withdrawal address on blockchain.info. six confirmations is needed before you should start looking for that amount to appear as a deposit to your account. this is the same whether you are depositing to an account at an exchange or anywhere else. the only time it shows instantly is if you are receiving to your own wallet or a hybrid ewallet like blockchain.info/wallet. otherwise most everything else with an account requires confirmations first. |
