Title: Is binaryoptions using bitcoin a form of gambling
Post by: bitcoin110011 on July 18, 2016, 11:27:37 AM
Lets start of with what is binaryoptions?

What is a 'Binary Option'
A type of option in which the payoff is structured to be either a fixed amount of compensation if the option expires in the money, or nothing at all if the option expires out of the money. The success of a binary option is thus based on a yes/no proposition, hence “binary”. A binary option automatically exercises, meaning the option holder does not have the choice to buy or sell the underlying asset.

BREAKING DOWN 'Binary Option'
Investors may find binary options attractive because of their apparent simplicity, especially since the investor must essentially only guess whether something specific will or will not happen. For example, a binary option may be as simple as whether the share price of ABC Company will be above $25 on November 22nd at 10:45 am. If ABC’s share price is $27 at the appointed time, the option automatically exercises and the option holder gets a preset amount of cash.

Binary options are significantly different from vanilla options. They are occasionally traded on platforms regulated by the SEC and other regulatory agencies, but are most likely traded over the Internet on platforms existing outside of regulations. Because these platforms operate outside of regulations, investors are at greater risk of fraud. For example, a binary options trading platform may require the investor to deposit a sum of money to purchase the option. If the option expires out-of-the-money, meaning the investor chose the wrong proposition, the trading platform may take the entire sum of deposited money with no refund provided.

I think binary isn't  a gambling game.  As I read some article, it stated that there are regularities that can be exploit in order to make money in Binary Options.  These are called chart patterns where player can make as reference to predict the future outcome. Chart analysis is a legitimate tool to analyse the market and predict future movements in prices. Basically this nullify the argument of luck since chart reading and prediction require skills.

A little bit of my personal experience

If you are trading on 60 seconds trading it is 100% gambling to the core.

There is no way to have an outcome based on knowledge.

The only way to make any money with any knowledge is long term trading , thoughts???

Not just, binary options I have seen many traders are going for opening a position by just believing their luck. When you are going for a trade without having any proper reason and strong analysis behind that, then your trading is simply turning to gambling.

Binary options are known for only two way of trading and also for quick results. If you are testing your luck with it, then binary options is also merely gambling only.

Any scheme that is based on chance whether you win or lose is gambling. Binary option is another coded way of not calling it outright gambling because form my experience from binary options its purely a means of you predicting whether the market will be high or low in different forms which is based on chance that you might be wrong or right, and the same thing could be said of gambling... My 2 cents...
