Title: Is XFX a lesser type of manufactuer?

Why am I seeing their cards for nearly $50 cheaper?

I've tried only two types of manufacturers - XFX (3) and PowerColor (1). At the moment XFX is MUCH better than PowerColor

XFX is crap. They don't know how to make coolers

I used the XFX R9 390. It works fine. Only 1% of the graphics cards needs RMA. So it is good for me.

Personally I like XFX... But really each card is like it's own beast.  I have some XFX R9 390's that run cooler, then different versions that run hotter.  It comes down more to how easy they are to deal with in terms of RMA than anything else (for me).

In my experience, XFX is a low-to-mid range manufacturer.
Not someone to completely avoid, but not as well built/designed as the top-tier cards tend to be.

Power Color is BOTTOM tier cheap - might last a while if you don't even wave the thought of overclocking at them IF you're a bit lucky.

IMO stick with the better folks for mining, Sapphire Gigabyte EVGA perhaps MSI.

For my mining, I underclock and undervolt, so there is no need a good quality overclocking cards at all.
