• Why do you use Bitcoin instead of FIAT currencies?
• What value does Bitcoin bring you that normal currencies do not?

If we want to make crypto currencies popular we need to agree on what makes them BETTER than the FIAT ones.
WE NEED TO SPEAK IN TERMS OF VALUES!

I admit that I use Bitcoin just because I'm curious of new technology, but I strongly believe that it can prosper in many fields! But why and how, I ask.

How would you persuade your grandma or child to use BTC?

What makes Bitcoin better?

BTC helps to earn some money I need to make a living. That's why I prefer btc

For the first question, the answer just relies on the people intention.

The second the bitcoin never brings values like normal currencies. abnormal

I never think to persuade they before because there are other things it's more important for them.

Because in bitcoin having a lot of projects is making a lot of investors wanna to put their money into bitcoin.and that will make bitcoin better.

Bitcoin has been really good for me as our country is not supported by paypal like processors as well as foreign currency rule is very strict here so we can't exchange our local currency to USD or EUR. But as bitcoin is not defined as currency by our country we can freely exchange it with each other as well as bitcoin can be sent worldwide with fast and almost fee free transaction that add more value to bitcoin for me.

Transparency and truth

Older people do not understand well the new technology, computers, mobiles etc, so bitcoin is a bit more advanced for them. I use bitcoin more besides fiat because it is easier to send and receive money from any country in the world with the lowest fee possible.

Ask yourself this question.... With what other technology or payment system can you send small amounts of money with these low rates? Micropayments with Bitcoin has opened up countless

opportunities for micro businesses and also payment for small tasks. This cannot be done with other fiat options, because it would not be profitable. Bitcoin for me is also more secure, than credit

cards {no centralized database needed for credit card information, and no need to transmit information over the internet that other people can use to empty your account and your credit} That is a

big bonus in my books.  ;)

I love technology and BTC is the best in terms of E-Currency. Well, I personally prefer BTC because it's way more transparent and fast method to route currencies..:)

Everyone is their own bank with no restrictions and unlimited spending limit..:P

Actually, we don't need to persuade anybody into using this technology, we simply need to explain them what BTC is actually and they will start using it themselves in no time..:D

I have control over my money,my bank does not.I decide where and how to spend my money,my bank doesn't. Price of 1 bitcoin can change over time while $1 will always be 1 dollar.

On what to be specific ? Right now 1 bitcoin is 630+ USD,what values you need to convince yourself.

I don't prefer bitcoin over fiat by any means.  Fiat is easier to use, more places take it, and there are more protections.  I hate it as a currency.   As an investment,  that's where it has value to me.  It has many uses in gambling and dark markets, but I'm not into either one of those things.

I am using bitcoin because with it I can earn bigger profit from price increase and from trading, and with that currency we can transact our money faster than bank or other transaction system.

Technology, decentralitzacion, transparence,  and i don't need to believe on banks and government , i don't want that banks could control my money.

Because now the time of digital system is starting and everyone and every business will be shifted to digital system and for that we need a more reliable and convenient way of financing and transaction of it. So in that case we can adopt bitcoin as bitcoin will be more preferred currency, because bitcoin is the only virtual currency which in more advanced.

Bitcoin brings more trading platforms to the table.  What I mean by that is that it allows you to be able to deal with other countries and people outside of your local easier.  Like PayPal, bitcoin allows you to easily transfer money from one place to another with lower fees than most companies like PayPal.  The issue is that not to many people as a whole use or accept bitcoin.  It will come soon enough.

Anonymity, ease of moving funds quickly and cheaply.

Bitcoin is albeit better than our average FIAT currencies.

• Bitcoin is anonymous, more productive, easily regulated, peer to peer and best of all, it is based on mathematical calculations which no one can manipulate ever. On the other hand FIAT is a centralized currency regulated under government's whims.

• It does not depend on the actual market price but what percentage of it is being regulated throughout the world and how much volume of it is in the active phase. If you own 1 BTC, think of it this way: You own 1 BTC out of 21 Million Bitcoins. And that feels significantly special.

one of my many reasons for using bitcoin is because bitcoin is decentralized and i don't have to bend over backwards for someone or some bank so that i can use my own money.

i mean if i want to use paypal i have to provide them with all kinds of information about myself and they can terminate my wallet and seize my money if they like and they don't care if i am scammed and someone just charged- back all of these are problems that don't exist in bitcoin.

bitcoin brings me this.

i am the full owner of everything with bitcoin. no one can tell me what to do. this is the kind of freedom i have always been looking for.

I wanted to have bitcoins because I thought trading with it would be nice. Other than that, I do not see how it wins over debit/credit cards, it's just another way of spending money.

I don't use bitcoin as a currency because there are not enough places that except it now days. However for trading it has a great value for me as the margin on some trading methods is quite high.

First I need to say that I don`t use bitcoin instead of fiat, I use both. We need to be flexible about it, we can`t buy and pay for everything with btc, in that cases its better to use fiat. For online payments, and earning bitcoin is better options, and cause of that I like to use btc. I would like bitcoins to become more mainstream soon, and then we can expect to have more possibilities with bitcoin.
To me bitcoin have value as any other currency, and I use it cause I like what bitcoin represents. And of course we can earn good with bitcoins, to make good money and buy things we like.

I think bitcoin has been really good for me because we see that there are countries that are not supported by the processor paypal as well as
foreign currency rules are very tight so there are some people who can not swap their local currencies into USD .
but it seems like bitcoin is not defined as currency by our country . therefore we can freely exchange with each other and can bitcoin
sent around the world quickly and virtually cost free transaction adds to the existence of bitcoin is more popular . In my opinion.

Besides i be able to handle my bitcoins without a fee being taken all months, make transactions 24/7 anytime, bitcoin is allowing to earn a decent extra all months, and i love technology and bitcoin as crypto world has a lot to give to the current system, the way fiat is managed and wasted over high fees.

If you hold good knowledge of trading then it will help you in growing your coins in long run and it will help you in earning higher profits in future when price goes higher.

Yeah that's for sure but for that you need to play with coins in trading for getting more experienced in it, know the market and stocks then it will be good to go with it more easily and talking about bitcoin its an opportunity to gain profit from its trading as due to its high volatile price!

for me, bitcoin is a way of making money most of all. bitcoin has introduced me to trading and now i am making some small amounts of profit from it and learning it little by little.

but also i like the technology that bitcoin has brought to us, like the anonymity and decentralization which are both excellent things in bitcoin.

Of course I am using both. However, bitcoin's advantage is the easy transaction imo. I can send money anytime, anywhere, most of the times without fee and sometimes if it has, it's still lower than other options. In regards with value, making investment in bitcoin give a higher chance of earning as time goes on.

To encourage not just a family member but also others, I will be saying the features of bitcoin and it's advantages when compared to others. Earn money online by just investing time and effort, faster transactions and lower fees than others, excluded on taxes, can be used anytime and anywhere and so on.

Bitcoin gives me the ability to buy digital goods without giving my name.

It have made me not to depend upon others for my basic needs even when I go jobless, as there is no job security in my day job. Also it made me to get interested towards the technological advancements.

The value bitcoin brought to me is the potential to growth. If you want to increase your fiat savings, then you will have to invest in some conventional deposits or stock market.

What unique in bitcoin is that the potential to grow. Holding bitcoin is itself an investment and it can provide huge returns which a normal investment can't give you. That is the value of bitcoin to me.

i think i can feel the real change the bitcoin brought to me. but i think it is not such ans easy job to persuade my parents or grand parents about bitcoin. and i will never like to discuss bitcoin to my children because they are still very young.

But in future you need to tell them about bitcoin so that they can also start earning it but the fact is kids nowadays are very tech advanced and they will find it on their own to earn bitcoins.

I dont actually use bitcoin instead of FIAT currency right now because im not able to do it as there is no place accepts bitcoin in my country or town.
And i use bitcoin because i can earn it and it has value for me because it is same for me as FIAT, i can earn bitcoins and then i can convert them to my home currency and then i can use them anywhere i want.

Bitcoin doesn't really being me any value right now, I HODL so I don't gain anything right now, I see bitcoin as a long term investment strategy, something I hope to profit from in the future.

I use it because I don't have to deal with PayPal or other payment methods crap (getting limited for no reason) & chargebacks, and It's also a long term investement unlike the other currencies .

yeah, it is kinda like anonymous shoppings online if you want something digital, in my opinion bitcoin is really easy to use and i really like spending it

To answer your survey,

1.  I use  bitcoin instead of fiat because there are some transaction online that i can't pay with fiat money.  I don't want to use Visa Card or Credit Card that expose the identity of the buyer. So in short for anonymity.
2.  Being not to supply your identity when transacting online.
3.  I don't see bitcoin being better than fiat money at this moment.  The mere fact that it is not generaly accepted in local market makes it in a disadvantage.

It helps save time, and time is money. ;)

that is really cool though if you want to buy some physical goods right now i think you will still have to provide your information so i dont think it would give you good anonymity

for me btc is just fun investmet instrument. however i think that anonymity is excellent and the ability to transfer money without involving banks etc.

I like bitcoin because I think its cool and I want to get in on it so I don't lose out on the fun. I also like the no charge-back feature so its easier for the seller. I also think the way bitcoin operates is really interesting with the decentralized system and miners.

You are right, but I think we do not have to hide our name if we are doing something legal, and if someone is talking about illegal then I will say that bitcoin is not for illegal and no one have right to do illegality with this currency, it will destroy its image.

Right now, bitcoin is just a 'gaming' credit to me (because I own such a little amount), when my wallet gets fatter, I'll probably take it more seriously and hoard it like I do with my USD dollar bills and quarters.

It's great because it's not created by a greedy group who has decreased the value of real money. I'd like to see it used at brick and mortar stores.

I can also see this becoming the main currency of the world, securing the conspiracy of a One World Order. Being a conspiracy theorist myself, I do not doubt that it is part of the plan, but I wear a tin foil hat too!

For me i treasure my bitcoin because now bitcoin is my other source of income and i am satisfied in my earning of bitcoin the other thing is bitcoin is now part of my daily routine in my life my day is not complete without earning in bitcoin.

I want bitcoin for its simple use no need more detail about you or no need to use your real information ,when sending fund to other people but sharing it to other peole that had no interest in bitcoin is very hard to explain so need to know it by their own. Because of bitcoin i found out many friends online sell some stuff online with bitcoin as apayment and for its really big help than fiat currency.

Bitcoin for me stands for financial freedom since I own and manage everything I hold in Bitcoin where even banks have nothing to do with it.

Another thing is that I don't need to make use of shitty services such as MasterCard, Visa, PayPal, and the list goes on.

One of the most important aspects for me personally is that it is a store of value and a combination of an ultra fast currency that you can use to send and receive money in a matter of a seconds.

With the coin cap being fixed at 21M you know that there won't be even a single Satoshi that will go over that number, unlike fiat currencies that get pumped into the economy every year decreasing the value dramatically.

Elements? I don't understand what you means about the elements. At first, the bitcoin is made the human life is easier but I don't think so about really important for the people's life maybe for who using bitcoin become their main income, I sure about that but IMO the bitcoin just becomes assistance for the human's life.

for the bold sentences, there is a situation, where the decentralization is making system is become a worst system. for personal, it's okay to believe with decentralization of bitcoin but it's always there the disadvantages of decentralized.

I might say the convenience it gives to us makes a difference of value. Although bitcoin has many wallet kinds they are accepted as one. It can be paid almost anywhere you can even buy Games in steam with your btc now. :)

Bitcoin doesnt do anything for me that a normal currency couldnt other than being an investment tool. I rarely use it to purchase anything nowadays since id rather just hold than spend and usually its easier just to use paypal saince most my shopping is done on ebay . Id say i am more attached to it than normal currencys though because i know the potential that it could have. but weather or not it will reach it is yet to be seen.

Bitcoin helps me learn more about technology and what our future can look like. I have been able to earn a little income form it that helps me to grow my future investments and my family. It has also taught me new skills that at my age I would not have thought it possible for me to learn lol. Bitcoin also helped me at a time when I could not earn any fiat and it helped me survive through a deep financial crisis.

Bitcoin has a few advantages over fiat but it is not widely used as fiat does. The first advantage that I get from using bitcoin is the convenience in transferring to other parties, unlike in fiat, bitcoin can be transferred within a very short time and can also be cashed out instantly. Other forms of funds transfer like paypal have stringent rules and they are not available every country. Secondly, bitcoin has provided a lot of trading opportunities due to its ever changing prices. the volatility is a very good opportunity for those keen in making profits due to the price changes.

I use bitcoin instead of fiat because I always have anxiety holding so much cash with me. With bitcoins, I do not have to hold cash in my wallet. Besides, people here don't really know of bitcoin that much, or maybe they know but they do not really care.

I also happen to love bitcoins since it is easier to earn money with bitcoins than with cash.

Compare to Fiat it is decentralized nobody governs bitcoin it's a peer to peer for the first time your computer has turned to a bank where you can buy and sell without any company governing your transactions,and about convincing your  grandma bring her to a store where all can be purchase by bitcoin and have her watch the best videos about Bitcoin technology..

The ability to divide my funds into different accounts without a lengthy new account creation process.

The ability to speculate against an asset with extreme volatility, but general upward growth.

And to top it all off, it's cool as shit. It's science fiction, people.

Indeed this is some of the fact that value gives to me.  Aside from that I can easily send remitances to any of my relatives in any part of my country without moving out of my place and going to the remitance center.  Same thing with paying bills.  So the once long process task is now easier because of the site that  use bitcoin.

I use bitcoin as instrument of Investment and i still use fiat currency for payment method, i will explain about bitcoin to child not grandma because was passed away  :D

Digital assests which i don't need to carry $100,000 worth of paper outside while bringing out just my mobile phone, i can transfer $100,000 with no issues.

The thing I like the most about Bitcoin is that it allows anyone to send/receive any amount of money to/from anyone anywhere in the world. All of the other alternatives are restricted in one way or another whether it be in the terms of the amount you can send/receive or other country specific restrictions. However, I'm not gonna lie, PayPal is still my preferred method for receiving/sending payments, it's faster and more convenient. Bitcoin still has a long way to go before it can truly compete with PayPal.

Bitcoin brings me freedom.
I can buy things without giving up my name. It does not turn up on my credit card bills, so my wife does not notice it either.
Besides I can trade and grow my coins.
All together, a great hobby for a guy.

Yeah it provides freedom. We don't want to depend on anyone, bitcoin will help us during the times of financial problems. I can trade, invest and earn money , sometimes I can buy things I desire through bitcoin.

I see many people separate bitcoin from other currencies. Question why do I use Bitcoin instead of fiat have clear answer, I don`t use fiat instead of bitcoins, nobody here use just bitcoins. We are forced to use more then one currency, simply cause world is place like that. Even bitcoins are traded for other currencies.
Well I have more freedom on internet with bitcoins, for now I use bitcoins to gamble. I earn here and there and I enjoy in gambling and there I invest my money mostly, and in some other little things I like to try everything.

It have value to me same as any other fiat. Bitcoin is currency and when I have 15 mBTC I already know that is around 10 dollars or 1000 dinara in my country. I know what can I do with that money and do I have that amount in bitcoins, dollars or dinars is completely same for me.

With bitcoin we can earn more faster than any other currency or asset so due to this I like bitcoin, and with that bitcoin is valuable for me. and the most attractive feature of that is; with that I do not have to waste bigger amount with fees of transaction.

i still use both fiat and bitcoin but honestly bitcoin has become my steady income and i got all the ease during use bitcoin such as anonymity or fast confirmations of transactions and i believe bitcoin will be more better than fiat someday but my main problem using bitcoin is some of my friends and my neighborhood doesn't know bitcoin because they says that the best way to buy anything is using paper money and not digital currency

Yeah, upto some extent it has freedom for us with our money, but because bitcoin is not much established everywhere so in some places and in some cases we are dependent on other institutions for our money, like everything is not available with bitcoin so we have to convert them to fiat in that cases and there we will be depend on banks to withdraw our money from bitcoin exchanges.

Freelance will get more online job opportunities and get fast payment without paying large amount of transferring  fees.

one of the biggest benefits that bitcoin has given me is the ability to be my own bank and handle all my money on my own. also bitcoin has been a good source of income for me from the beginning and I have earned a decent amount of money while learning a lot of new things.

i love the technology but i love bitcoin for other reasons too, like it does not have any age limit . we can you it in every country and we can use it in everything we want even to those which we cannot get permission or rights easily like gambling or trading. it is dam cool and very very useful

In my eyes, Bitcoin is better than fiat currency. Because if you have fiat currency than 100% you want to do any investment so why not try to invest in bitcoin, Because bitcoin already have a lot of business in himself.
So i always refer to bitcoin instead of cash. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and it is popular because of its price up and down and in this way we all getting profit. 

Well I use bitcoin not to replace my fiat money but to earn some atleast something.
The value that  bitcoin brings me to use it is 200-500$ range per bitcoin since here in Philippines is high enough for me to feed myself for 3-4weeks.

That's right, that is the advantages of becoming a freelance but I don't think so about the freelance it does not have certainty, and anytime they will not getting a job for their selves . caused by that, it's very risky for me.

Bitcoin give us a lot of opportunities like investment and trading and also we can use in amount transfer and it is really helpful for online shopping. Also if you have bitcoin so its price give you profit, if you hold your bitcoins for a long time and when its price increased than sell it now it is easiest way to getting profit.

For me, anonymity, reliabillity and no big corps making profit on me just spending my hard earned money.

I don't know why i use Bitcoin other than FIAT currencies i think because here in our country bitcoin is famous but not really famous all over the cities but I do prefer it because that was my first FIAT money to get online and it's not easy to get it although it's little but you can get it :)

Bitcoin prices now a days is too high so yes it does it matter for me :D if you have a lot of btc in your wallet and the bitcoin increases then its really nice :D

i also really like the anonymity of bitcoins, to be honest i think they give me a great chance of using my bitcoins safely without providing any of my details

One thing that I prefer to use bitcoin is that i dont need to pay any monthly fee like the local bank charges even when i dont use it or if i have not any money there, easy to use easy to make transfers easy to buy and trade into altcoins etc

When bitcoin becomes more mainstream, it can be a method of payment or a way to send money quickly to anywhere. It is also a way to hold money on a safe place out of the hands of a bank. Right now though, it is an investment to me.

Since a lot of websites updating their one of the payment methods besides paypal to bitcoin,isn't it an indication that its already "main-stream" ? Take GitHub devs for example,most of the open source good software projects have shifted their donation base to bitcoin only.Frankly,depends on the place where you live.While you talk a around in Switzerland or Japan you will have options to use your bitcoins on the streets while no trace of bitcoins would be around other Asian countries.

Bitcoin for me is a life saver, a superhero who comes to my aid when I am in financial distress.

I only earned half of the monetary need that my family needs that my salary can provide. It means that I am financially short.

Bitcoins have lead many companies and site to open online. And two or three if those sites are my source if bitcoins. From zero to hundreds of dollars I rise from shortage and had provided my shortage with the help of bitcoins.

I am purchasing and investing my bitcoins into my projects and some things i need, soo this is the money i have to spend online, without affect my budget at home, this is the income i can use as i wanna, and sometimes exchange a bit of it to fiat. Bitcoin is making my dream come true on the short period, something i never wanna,now i wanna and i can make.

This is a great question! The value that Bitcoin brings is

- freedom from banks and their poor customer service, exploitation of customers via excessive fees, rubbish change rates, slow turnaround times, badly trained staff, lack of flexibility, ability to strangle businesses, fat cat salaries...the list goes on, the vast majority of consumer banks are simply not fit for purpose, or worse, insolvent but still trading.

- complete personal control over funds - no reliance on a centralised point that can confiscate the funds without proper reason

- ability to trade it as the value fluctuates so speculative gains can be obtained

- ability to use it to buy goods and services ANYWHERE in the universe (as long as the recipient has a wallet address lol)

- ability to sell good/services much more easily. The whole payment acceptance phase can be streamlined with little/negligible cost

- restriction of supply: the number of coins is fixed, no more printing money!

Overall, I would say Bitcoin is FREEDOM

One specific value that Bitcoin bring to me personally, is that I can play online poker and instantly deposit and withdraw my funds easily from any bitcoin poker site. Instant withdrawals are not possible with fiat poker sites. Not only that, but with bitcoin poker sites, at least the ones I play on, do not require ID/address/bank account verification as other fiat poker sites do.

So much misconception here. Bitcoin is not anonymous, it is pseudo anonymous at best since there are no gatekeepers in the network.
This property is lost when you use satellite services for example when you are obtaining bitcoins through exchanges.
Bitcoin's blockchain shows all the transaction that have been made and will be there forever, anyone can see them.
Some of these transactions have leaked their IP, which can be seen when searching for addresses on blockchain's explorers.

But it will not show what I bought. That's what matters to me.

yeah, banks really do provide pain and nothing more, I am facing a lot of issues every time when I do transact my money through bank, while bitcoin is a more convenient way for me to transact my money.

When you are using online shop, exchange or any type of service when you need to provide your personal information i.e ID and address.
Then potentially your bitcoin purchases can be linked with your account in the same way credit card or PayPal.

In our current reality, on early level of bitcoin adoption, you almost cannot use bitcoin alone like it meant to be used in direct p2p environment.
You need to use services like exchanges and banks to convert BTC to FIAT to fully utilize it.

And I think we need banking services - we don't need banks.

BTC to me is another asset, like gold. However as it is built like a currency, being able to transact and stuff, I think of it as somewhere in between gold and fiat. But online  8)

those are the things i like the most too, i think bitcoin is really great at providing anonymity, besides that you can spend it whenever you want and how much you want

The only thing that Bitcoin brings me is money and that is the reason that I am here for.
I am here to make some extra money with Bitcoin next to my day job.

I use bitcoin alongside fiat. Because fiat it seems is easier to use in real life, but online, bitcoin is easier. Cash transfers take too long, have chargeback issues, or simply aren't as convenient.

Actually I am not using bitcoin instead of fiat. Bitcoin is for me only an interesting way to diversify my investments, but of course I have found that bitcoin really worth and I would be interested in getting more involved in the altcoin ecosystem but not as an optional investment, but as a philosophy of life.

With bitcoin im able to fund my projects and make them live, currently im funding 100% my online project with bitcoin. Soo bitcoin for me is like i ask for something and bitcoin appears and saying: yes i can do it for you, and my dream comes true.

Bitcoin is my other source of income, i can earn any time i want and it will gives me money of what i work, that is why i always treasure how much bitcoin i earned and it really big help for me to compensate some of my needs.

To start off bitcoin was a work around for me to continue gambling on sports when the last option to fund my account was taken down on a popular site. Yeah if that happens for sure our happy days will be stopped because government is going to put tax to bitcoin if that happens. I would say that bitcoin has opened a lot of doors for me to earn and invest at the same time. As an additional source of income, earnings can be invested by just simply holding and letting the price increase overtime. I can't say that I would make bitcoin my primary currency because there are still very few stores that accept it, but I am willing to hold longer and see how time helps bitcoin in its progress.
