Title: What % of your Assets is Bitcoin?
Post by: BitcoinBarrel on July 21, 2016, 04:40:07 PM
So what percentage of your total monetary and financial investments are in Bitcoin?

What do you think is a smart balance to have?

I have 75% of my total earning in bitcoin right now, but in few more days i may short few bitcoin like 25% so i will still be holding 50% of my total investment in bitcoin after few days also.

I think 50% will be an ideal holding % of total investment to buy back if price drops and not to get sad if price get pumped because you still hold some bitcoin.

BullCrap.

-Nice question.Though I won't define it as my financial income because rarely I use bitcoins to cover up my expenses. The only way I can utilize bitcoin to sponsor my finances is by cashing it to fiat which I'm not very fond of doing.Speaking of investments,20% would be a correct number. Its in indirect investment, never used fiat to buy bitcoins, just freelancing for it.
-The smart balance to have is what you can afford to lose. Its an experiment ,still in its primitive stages, one shouldn't risk their entire savings onto bitcoins.

Mine is very low, because there are too many risk factors and open questions unanswered about Bitcoin. I have followed the general rule of not investing more than you can afford to lose. We do not

have control of too many of the aspects of this investment, to go bigger. Risks in my opinion includes things like :

~ Development struggles and battles
~ Satoshi's horde
~ Chinese dominance in the mining sector and political issues.
~ Regulation & political views
~ Competition from Alt coins & Blockchain based technologies from banks.

Most commodities have some of the same issues, but it's more matured and settled over the years. Bitcoin is still in it's early experimental stages and nobody knows where this is going.  ::)

and that's what i think is a smart balance to have. but always keep an eye in the market, you might need to sell them fast to buy again cheaper later.

Used to be 50/50 back when I had a btc salary, but now a days I only keep 10% or less in crypto, unless I am speculating on a particular market event.

I don't own much, so talking about "assets" seems a bit over the top. On the other hand I'm totally free of debt which I'm really proud of.

I've set aside a chunk of cash as a safety buffer in case I loose my job. That lasts around 3 months. I don't consider that an investment, because I don't expect a return from it. I also own a few gold and silver coins. These I also bought as a precaution for hard times, when fiat might no longer be accepted. These I don't consider investments neither, because I have no intent of selling them.

All what remains is Bitcoin. So 100% of my free assets are Bitcoin, although the total amount is still too small...

ya.ya.yo!

It is not the poll for the percent of income you get, but it is the poll that how much of your money is in bitcoin, suppose if a person has only one dollar and with that he buy bitcoin then he has 100% assets in bitcoin, and if he buy bitcoin with $0.50 then he will have 50% assets in bitcoins.

I'm not saying 100% but more than 90% of my savings are on bitcoin, maybe because the amount is not large, I know that this is a bit much and I'm risking it but for others those that don't want to risk to much i would prefer 30%-50% to invest in/hold bitcoins.

I have about 25 percent of all my assets that i own in bitcoin or maybe a bit higher in at the moment but im hoping for a large rise in price sooner or later that can take me up and over 99% ;) , Id probably have more in but due to the price hike the past few months ive been hesitant to buy anymore in the hope that it would have dropped some but its not really looking like that will happen anymore.

I always liquidate my assets in other altcoins keeping 15% as the last resort in case something drastic happens to me or to my trades!
Speaking of which I had around 20% staked in Ethereum trading and after their hard fork and the subsequent price rise I was able to profit around 56% from it.

That's how pro traders need to carry on with their supposed trading business.
Having all your assets in one fixed deposit is not a right thing at all. Especially in case of virtual cryptocurrency.

I have really never counted the percentage. But it is less than 0.01% of my networth. The funny thing is that, I have never bought bitcoin using my fiat money. I have started getting bitcoin from faucets and then I have used it for trading. Joined signature and avatar campaign to get a regular income.

Hence, I have not calculated ever, but should not be more than 0.01% in total.

how can it be possible that your income is 100% and yet you have invested very small amount of money. how can it be possible. because from a signature campaign one can only earn a pocket money.

...

Unless you are very technologically adept (or very comfortable with risk AND able to predict the future), I would not have more than 5% of net assets in bitcoin.

My BTC holdings are just under 1%.  I am HODLing at this point.  I suspect that BTC is not invulnerable to technological change, it could go to zero (although I doubt that in the short-run).

1% - 5% is plenty to positively change your life if BTC has a massive price spike up.

I am agree with you, because which amount i am earning the bitcoins from signature campaign, it is my only pocket money. So i decide to do some other way and earn more bitcoins, than i did investment in bitcoin, i bought some bitcoins in a low price when bitcoin down and save it, but on the halving day i sell it and in this way i get profit.
Otherwise no one is here who said that his all assets 100% of bitcoins.

My bitcoins is lesser than 1% of my assets. All of my earnings in bitcoins are being converted to cash.  And that's why it's lesser than 1%. Hope to increase it more someday. But I'm unlucky with my investment. I was scammed twice this week.

Apart from the fact that if bitcoin rises my % in bitcoin vs total capital will naturally grow.

Have you booked some of your profits? or just waiting for prices to go up still? In any investment, it is a good practice to book profits now and then to avoid any future surprises. It looks you got a quite a good profit from your investment in just less than a years time. I sold my most of coins above $680 level and now waiting for buying again.

Well assets has different meaning and it depends on the one interpreting it. Since I am an accountant, I define asset as an economic resource. Anything tangible or intangible that can be owned or controlled to produce value and that is held to have positive economic value is considered an asset. With that definition my total asset is 1600 dollars because I am still young and out of that 1600 dollars, 100 dollars is bitcoin so in short 6.25% of my total assets is composed of bitcoins.

The smart balance of investment is around 20-30% of your total asset, unfortunately now bitcoin has only occupied around 5-7 % of my asset, but i wish that I can invest in bitcoin until 20% of my total asset, because it think bitcoin value is going to rise in the next few years

I am just holding around 10 to 15% of my assets in bitcoin as i am using bitcoin regularly in sportsbetting, altcoin trading and converting some to fiat currency to need my daily expenses. As per my thinking if you just hold then their wont be much importance to bitcoin until all of them just dont use it daily so that the valuation should go up, while seeing the transactions of bitcoins trading or any purpose of use just like fiat currency which we use daily in our life.

A Total of 75% of my Incomes are In Bitcoin Because I mainly Earn Money From Bitcoin And I Also like to Hold Bitcoins For a Price Increase but the Amount of Bitcoin Changes according to The price because when the price Is low I am Buying more Bitcoin and My Bitcoin Stock Increases and when the Price Is high I sell some Bitcoins From My Wallet So the Stock Decreases.....

Right now maybe less than 20 % but I hope this fact will change soon.
I'm planning to invest my money and start own business, which will accept Bitcoin as payment option.
If business will be successful, I will have much more Bitcoin in my private portfolio :)

I estimate Bitcoin only makes up ~3-4% of my assets, 5% at the very most. Hopefully, some time in the future while I am still alive, that same 3-5% will turn into 50% or more of my assets.  ;)

Exactly, if you will just stay in the community for long then I would guarantee you that you will increase your holdings in bitcoins, you can have it in different ways, may it be you purchase or you will work for it.

Considering that I have nearly spend all my cash and gold, I currently own more than 90% of my asset as bitcoin.
I have not actually spent any bitcoins yet since I bought them months back when it was around ~450. The rest 10% are still in gold.

Sometimes I do think to go for 100% with bitcoins. But, my family members are not allowing me to sell those gold investments.

That is a good start dude, don't worry we can have more in the future. Just try to save if you are earning here in online and you could also choose to buy more bitcoins to add up on your investment. Remember, bitcoin will appreciates its value in the future so there is no need to worry holding more.

I have 25% of my all assets in Bitcoin and 25% in gold while 50% in local currency and in dollars. This is how I am managing to keep my assets. I really don't want to convert all my assets in any single of these. I also own real estate property which I don't count as assets because I am living there. It is good balanced portion of each in my opinion how I have done for me.

I have a large portion of my assets in Bitcoin right now, as that is one of the things I choose to invest in and work for on this forum and through other job systems. The other portion of my assets is in cash, and it typically gets passed through my hands fairy quickly because of utility fees, taxes, everything else that I have to deal with. Anything that I don't have to move quickly typically goes into Bitcoin.

Very very small I cant even consider it as an investment yet but I have some physical Bitcoins that I can sell in the future in cases of emergency and a few coins in my wallet, not big enough. The money I earn from campaigns are in tact in my wallet but there are times I have to convert it when in need of some money to pay for my utilities.

I don't have a big percentage for that because to invest in bitcoin is very risky caused by the volatile of the price and in my minds to saving into bitcoin is not safe more than saving in the bank because i will don't get a guarantee for this.

Although I have voted 10% but frankly speaking, I really have less than 10% of assets in bitcoin balance. I believe in balanced investment strategy that recommends investing in small parts but more frequently and in various sectors. Since I can have more profits in other sectors right now I give priority to those sectors but on the other hand I also invest in bitcoin (that is in comparatively smaller part).

I think bitcoin is a horse of long race so I have long term investment plans for it and since I invest in smaller quantity I will have good amount in long term if everything went well.

But still I will say 25% is a good amount to invest in bitcoin or any other asset, when we earn with that then we can reinvest that amount again in there or in any other asset which are of great potential to make us earn better.

One wise man once said, if you want to make sure you lose your money, put it in a bank.. There's nothing worse than slow death that's happening to your money at banks, and
the interests are so low that it's not even remotely worth it. You have to risk in order to gain something, the bigger the risk .. you get the point..

I have about 50-50 divided value between bitcoin and fiat i own. I strongly believe in future of bitcoin, and plan on maintaining 50% of funds in bitcoin.
It will take a very long time for bitcoin to reach prices i am expecting, but i have more than enough time to wait it out.

Didn't factor that in. So if when you put it that way then it would be more than a quarter of my asset everytime I add on that amount on a monthly basis.
It will actually turn into 30% by the end of the year. Thanks for advising me of that  ;)

I think that's the best way you can go for. I am doing the same stuff too: a fixed procentage of the monthly revenue will be used to buy gold, the same procentage is going to be exchanged into some other currency/es, and the rest will be spent. And I even split the local currency procentage into two: 50% for taxes and stuff like that, 50% to be spent on clothing, electronics and all the other 'necessities'. I don't get tens of dollars monthly - I can't afford to buy a gram of Gold monthly. So I'm just holding money there and adding more and more month after month until I have enough to buy one. These are in case of ANY emergency possible. In case of a global collapse - Gold will always be the power.

Right. What ever currency it would be, saving them would be a good habit as well a good practice. It helps you when you are truly in need. Always savings upgrade us from the normal level. As you move on with savings, you become more richer and become strong naturally. You will be more confident in taking decisions. More would be turning in favor of you.

Around 10% or maybe higher is my Bitcoins asset percentage. I like having like 60% fiat and 40% in Bitcoin or maybe even 50-50. It really depends if I spend a lot of fiat until I get a payment. Not really possible to have 100% in bitcoin. that means that you buy your food with it and pay your rent using it which I would find hard to believe unless the country that you live in accepts it everywhere for everything you buy and pay for.

Your are doing very difficult thing using all your money and invest to ponzi and reinvest it some day you will regret to it. Don't do such a thing if you want to invest in hyip or don't do reinvestment so even it will close you still have money recover. if you do it in trading I'll understand because someday you will hold that money again and a chance to have profit morethan double.

I am very interested in gradually increase my investment in bitcoin, but these days my assets in this coin are lower than 10%, and I have to admit that I am not mentally prepared to increase my worth of bitcoin because of its great volatility.

Well IMO, if you've bought way back then it's okay to let loose a portion of your BTCBTCBTC holdings. It's profit already. But if you're gonna buy to increase your percentages right now, you might wanna wait for the next drop first.

As for me, I've got about ~15-20%.

For the moment I have more than 90% of all my savings which I also call assets in bitcoin. The feeling of you being in charge and holding the bitcoins in your place without anyone else knowing it simply can't be bought with money. Its the best feeling on the world when you open up your PC and there are different wallets there containing all of your bitcoins and few altcoins and no bank can tell you what to do and not to do. I will keep keeping my savings-assets in bitcoin as long as possible.

Till now I don't have my assets in the form of bitcoin. My entire savings were in the form of bitcoin like few other users here. Possibly even after years will continue the same if the price increase than decreasing often.

When you guys are talking about assets do you mean liquid assets like the cash you'd traditionally keep in an online savings or checking account, or do you mean all of one's net worth including mutual funds/stocks/ETFs/property etc?

Many people are answering >50%, doesn't that worry you guys a bit given the volatility of bitcoin.  On the other hand it will be worth considerably more if it becomes on of the dominant currencies.

I'm new to this, but it just seems to me a bit too early in BTC hx to position oneself financially with so little diversity.

Cheers.

I have just over 45% of my wealth in Bitcoin right now. Does it makes me worry about the volatility? No. I know very well what risks I am getting myself into when buying myself as many coins as possible. Beside that, the percentage may seem high, but that's mainly because of the price that went up significantly. Basically, Bitcoin is going up higher and higher, while my fiat savings are growing in a much slower pace.

3%

It used to be 15% but I want to buy a house very soon so volatility is a big problem. Also more than half my assets are invested in my company (a large multinational), not because I believe it will grow a lot (although it could grow significantly) but because my company matches investments so it's free money I can't pass up.

I think buying property (in my country) is a great investment at the moment, if fiat crashes then it's even better as your debt is wiped out.

Once the house acquisition is through I will probably invest about 10% of my earnings in BTC, an amount I can afford to lose, and continue to invest about 25% in my company.

Selling one's house to buy BTC, that's a crazy proposition !

I treat BTC as a risky investment, a gamble, I'm not convinced in its future as a currency, but if it becomes one I have no problem with it either, I just can't say I believe it will.

So many users confirm that they have invested their money in btc and have set their btc asset limit more than 40 to 50%. This is due to the price increase. The price is bit high now and is going to be higher than this in future. We all hope to have a good return / profit in future. Lets all hope and have much confident on this so.

I agree with a dollar-cost averaging entry into bitcoin, I think that's what I'm going to try to do.

It's a good point (made above) that one's % interest in bitcoin has probably gotten disproportionate secondary to it's massive increase in value.  IMHO it would be prudent to re-balance... Is it cost prohibitive to do this (i.e. are fees too high to transfer back into one's fiat currency)?

yeah you're free to do predictions on bitcoin but you have to know is it could happen. bitcoin prices are very volatile so you have to be clever in
managing and investing in bitcoin just because bitcoin profitable then you invest all your money. I think it is a stupid thing.

Around 20 %, even more maybe. But I don't have car, house, savings so money I have is not big. I relay on salary each month, and from that money I live and pay apartment, bills and everything else.
I`m happy, year ago I didn't have no bitcoins, no money, today I`m a bit more free. I returned some money to the bank, at least I'm free from many debts. Bitcoin helped me a lot, and cause of that this 20 % will rise on 30 %, and I think only way where I can go from here is up.

You're probably doing a sports betting since you'd need a good bankroll management with that and it's the most popular gambling with bitcoin as of yet.
About 60% of my total asset is in bitcoin, 30% on my bank account and the rest are just either in my wallet or somewhere in my house scattered.

That's really great that a job can pay you all those things and can make you live happily. I also have only 40% of my savings in bitcoin but I don't think I can go up from here as in my country the economy is in full recession and there is talk lately of big problems from the major banks in here ,Italy. I wish I could live in your country as here now young people beg to get employed even without payment just for free to get some experience and most of the companies don't accept even this. The only way I can go up my savings is by adding my gambling winnings to this, so far so good there but gambling is never sure of the outcome so I guess I am sticking to this 40% and even be happy cause many people here in my country can't achieve this.

I guess it is around 25% at the moment. Altcoins account for a bit as well, but those are fluctuating wildly especially in the last months.

I make sure to have an investments account, a savings account and a bitcoin account all loaded with sufficient amounts to be able to be comfortable in case one of them sustains a massive hit in value.

Slowly working on increasing the bitcoin holdings, but I also make sure to keep increasing the others.

That's too safe my friend, if you want to make money with bitcoin then you should increase your holdings, you must have a least 20% of your total assets for your investment, never worry about the future of your bitcoins as that is just fair with a possible good return in the future.

:D. Looks like I am on the same track with most other people - 10%. Probably a lot lesser than 10%. The reason is because that I do not invest my money (fiat) into Bitcoin. Instead, I invest my time into Bitcoin. Everything I purchased online is bought using Bitcoin that I earn online - mostly signature campaign :P. I even started my own sites using the Bitcoin I earn online, http://freebitcoinlottery.xyz/ & http://bitrevenues.com/. :).

Well as of now i am holding only 10% of bitcoin. It is because i do always have to withdraw because of course of my financial needs but if i can earn much higher for next month then i will increasing my holdings to 25%
when converting bitcoin to a fiat I certainly would not withdraw to all my bitcoin? because of course the capital that I have will be lost. so at least I will leave a few percent may be 20% and 80% will I convert to a fiat, hopefully 20% which I left in bitcoin. can re-grow I use trading to grow

My Bitcoin is around 10% of my assets. I think this is a smart amount to possess. My life isn't entirely based on Bitcoin, but I set space for it. I use this Bitcoin to occasionally, buy some products or trade.

I was finally able to move some more of my assets out of Bitcoin and I went an exchanged a fair amount of what I had stored (before the dip) and so now I'm looking at maybe 5% of my assets are still in Bitcoin. I'm looking to invest again in a little while and bring that number up a bit, but for this period while the market is unsure of what to do with itself, I think I'll just hold back and wait.

I think to determine the amount which would you allocate to invest in bitcoin will depend and consider some aspects of the first is the huge salary and the second is the cost of living will you spend. if a small salary per month or about 0.3 BTC better put it around 0.02 BTC in bitcoin as a periodic investment and the rest you can convert it to fiat

That's too much IMO. If we're talking investment profiles ideally there shouldn't be a majority unless you're in direct control of that investment, and considering this space is a high-risk-high-reward market, that's a real bold move.

If more and more users will resort to using bitcoin, then clearly the price lift up because of increased demand. Perhaps it is right that people keep more of their assets in cryptocurrency. Their risk can be rewarded.

It's really fun that we can earn bitcoins online and it will add up to our total assets, for me, I have a big amount of money in my bank account and my earning in bitcoin is not really big so I am planning to convert my bitcoins into fiat and maybe it would increase the percentage of my holding in bitcoins.

It might be small but it is not necessarily unwise. Having a small amount in Bitcoin right now probably isn't bad for him and he might not have a lot of money to begin with, so putting $1 out of every $1000 he has into Bitcoin might be expensive for him already. Him trying to increase it though is a good thing, and moving it up to every $1/$100 or $1/$20 isn't a bad thing necessarily. It's up to people to decide.

The percentage is really not important in this matter, you should put an amount that you want to invest and the amount you can afford to lose, if you are too confident about the future of bitcoin then it is just right and fair to increase your investment more.

I have hundred procent of bitcoin right now in this moment because i have big earnings on internet and i am reinvesting right now all my money to increase that.
You invested all of your asset in bitcoin? Just hoping you not invest in PONZI/HYIP sites.

Your are doing very difficult thing using all your money and invest to ponzi and reinvest it some day you will regret to it. Don't do such a thing if you want to invest in hyip or don't do reinvestment so even it will close you still have money recover. if you do it in trading I'll understand because someday you will hold that money again and a chance to have profit morethan double.
strongly agree with you if you want to invest in a Ponzi or hyip it could have been dude You also must be ready with all the risks that exist. if you're lucky maybe in time that you will benefit. but one thing that became my advice is do not invest for the second time in same site. I am very confident that the site will be a scam in just a few days. so to avoid it did one-time investment only mate

Never really trust hyip cloud mining sites because it's highly likely that they will only turn into scam sooner or later. I'd rather just hold them off for myself since bitcoin is an investment in itself already. That way, bitcoin may lose it's value but I still have the same amount as how much I had even before.

For an average earning amount based on average salary for the specific country then I think 25% should be enough to invest in bitcoin, maybe not every month but every couple of months.

I'm planning to diversify my holdings and cash out another 20% (since I already have some cash in the bank that I'm planning to keep for the future.) to invest on some penny stocks.
that is very good and i also have invested about 75% of assets in bitcoin, i am hopeful that my investment will never disappoint me and hope that it will give me a good profit at the end,

Probably around 1 percent or so, Not because I don't believe in bitcoins (I do) but it's just incredibly difficult to buy bitcoins in my country and in my area, I spend so much effort to buy few bitcents and I don't see how I can even get more except with days or waiting for a single small trade.
You don't have to worry about all the things your not always natural. If you have trouble to make purchases with bitcoin, then you can buy using exchange sites that accept payment using $.
That is really very unfortunate. Although I do not have much of my asset in bitcoin as well.
Only around 20% is in bitcoin and the rest is still in cash. I do not really want to put the majority of my asset in bitcoins because I fear the risk of losing my total asset's value as bitcoin prices are known for highly fluctuated.

Now I hold only a very small amount of my assets in bitcoin, as the price fluctuations were happening often without any notification.
Lol certainly fluctuation will occur at any time and there will be no one who knows about it. I think everybody does not know when the price will go down.
if anyone knows when the price drops. certainly they have nothing to lose and may already be rich.

I think you should lose your assets in bitcoin. because I think your assets in bitcoin too big. I think that you should have a back up big. when there is something like a panic intermittent or when bitcoin die. you're not going into bankruptcy because you have a great backup in fiat money. I think 70% is too big

Mine is lower than 10%. It's probably less than 1%. It's not necessarily wise to put a lot into bitcoin if you have a family that you are supporting. I choose to invest just a small amount.
I think it's up to you to invest a certain amount in bitcoin. but I hope you can see the risks that would happen to you if you invest in bitcoin.
do not try to invest with all the money you got. you have to calculate and plan before investing

You guys are doing great because you consider bitcoin as precious base on the portfolio you presented but I would say that my assets in bitcoin is increasing because I do earn a lot doing my job online and earn bitcoin and at the same time I also earn from trading so it is more valuable to me than my day job.

I have voted for 10% because it was the lowest percentage available but even 10% of my assets are not in bitcoin i think right pretty less than that.
This is because i am not able to hold my bitcoins, either i gamble them away or i spent them in some online shopping and mobile rechrges.
But i am planning to only to increase the no. of bitcoins i have and get more of my assets into bitcoins.

I think it's pretty risky. you know the risks that exist in bitcoin. whenever the price can come down very easily and when you have nearly or more than 50% of your money in bitcoin and then the price drops. then what will you do when that happens? of course you're going to regret it. it is better to allocate more of your money on something that is safe

So what percentage of your total monetary and financial investments are in Bitcoin?

What do you think is a smart balance to have?

Around 10% of my monetary asset is bitcoin because I'm still not earning that much in bitcoin as I just recently discovered that it existed and I have a day job as of now in which I can't save much because of high living expenses and monetary obligations. The smart balance for me would be around 25% of my asset since I need to diversify my investments to other options like stocks, business or properties but depending on the status and value of bitcoin in the future maybe I would increase or decrease the percentage.

Just put confident on the future of bitcoin so you will not worry if there is a major price fall back, as a stable investment I believe any crisis will be surpass and will continue to progress so we should not worry and our worry now is when we do not put enough investment and we might miss the opportunity to earn more in the future.

You should maybe start investing in bitcoin, simply because bitcoin can raise in value.
Or you can invest bitcoin on other things like trading or gambling bankroll, for even more profits but with some calculated risk. But with respect to bitcoin we can simply earn by holding for more time.

Well, I'm just voicing out opinions and suggestions.

I have about 20% but that's not really that much of a difference in percentage. I still prefer to have most of my assets in fiat because it's value doesn't change unlike in bitcoin where there's a risk of it losing in value. I know that I can make profits out of it because it is an investment but I fear the fact that it has risks. I'm fine with only 20% of my total asset is invested in bitcoin.

Sometimes I exchange my BTC funds for other, ''hard'' currencies in order to invest and allocate my funds in more online projects and businesses.
I believe it's good strategy for me.
Right now I also working on my own business and most costs I will also cover with my bTC funds.
So, right now, let's say that 1/3 of my assets are in bTC.

If you don't want to get scammed then you can withdraw your profits on regular basis to reduce the level of risk and put only that amount that you are willing to invest.

These are the ones might be earning bitcoins from the time the currency was introduced. The price was very very less below $1. So they could able to buy more bitcoins which is now worth of more than 1 million dollars. I have joined with this community few months back. So you would know what can be my bitcoin's assets.

10% on all of your assets would be  the  best or ideal  to do because you could somehow  assure that you would gain profits in the  future without compromising too much regarding  on  your financial state, if you tend to put all of money in bitcoin then  be sure  to prepare on the  risk  because  bitcoin price movement isnt stable at all it may fall or rise in the future.

I will share my honest statistics with everyone by saying I have converted just 20% of my assets in Bitcoin with long term goals. Only 10% in gold and 70% in fiat cash money. It is bitter reality cash is king and for another some period will keep dominating until we fully move on to digital currency or economy.

wasn't it too high to put almost 100% your money to a digital currency project like altcoin? they can go dissapear forever anytime and you even can't conver it yet to bitcoin means you lost everything.

I have very little assets at the moment but I have around 50% of it in bitcoin and the rest is in gold and silver. I have barely any fiat saved either so I haven't a lot of anything at present. I am hoping that bitcoin will remain at least at 40/60% of my savings portfolio.

I have bit less than 10% of my assets in the bitcoin right now so i have voted for that because there is not much we can do with bitcoins,so why we should keep more of our assets in bitcoin and i think 10% is more than enough for that, and rest should be in fiat and any other investement like gold or land.

I agree with this and thats why i also gone with 10% because paper money is required in the real world and every one respects only that in real value and have the value.Even as an investement not a lot of money can be risked in bitcoin, mine would be even 5% assets in bitcoins.

What do you think is a smart balance to have?
right now i only keep about 10% of my savings in the bitcoin currency. i feel like 10 percent is quite alot tbh. i think maybe around 5% would be a safe investment for most people so if they lose it they wouldnt really be affected financially.

There's no inflation in bitcoin, what I believe is only that you will grow your money by putting it in bitcoin. The real inflation will happen when you are depositing your money in the bank, it will earn interest but you cannot grow its value due to inflation.

Its really good to here many say they have 40% of their asset as bitcoins and few say, they have 70% of their asset as bitcoin. These are the ones might be earning bitcoins from the time the currency was introduced. The price was very very less below $1. So they could able to buy more bitcoins which is now worth of more than 1 million dollars. I have joined with this community few months back. So you would know what can be my bitcoin's assets.

Wow thats big enough compared to my bitcoin. Bitcoin as my asset is only at 1% its because I always convert it to cash and use it to buy food and other needed things my family needs. I also spent it to pay my bills all the time. Thats the reason the remaining bitcoin is only 1% of my assets. Hope someday I can have 20 to 30% of my assets are in bitcoin.

Investing in bitcoins is a risk as its future is unpredictable and if we invest huge capital in it and if price crashes in future then we have to go through huge loss, so the best thing is to keep on earning them in different ways and increase the level of coins in our wallet.

exactly on this day, bitcoin prices reached $650 +, if you look at the history price one year ago was in the range of $299.
so in my opinion, although the future of bitcoin is unpredictable, but there will always be price increases in each year.
so you don't have to worry to put lots of money in the bitcoin and do not have to wait for the future, if the price can go higher in the next 2-3 years.

The fact is price rise in this year because of halving and it even reached to $780 price level before halving only because people were expecting $1k price at that time and kept on buying bitcoins but now there is no upcoming events so I don't think we will see major price rise in next year.

In this moment I have more money in bitcoins then in fiat. I don`t know exactly how much is that in percents, but i`m satisfied that is what I count. I`m earning bitcoins every month, and with this bitcoins I gamble, I`m not saying its smart thing to do, but there is chance for me to make more money, that is exactly what happened many times in past, that`s why I have more money in bitcoins then in fiat. Fiat that I earn goes in bills, food, house, car.. many times I sold my bitcoins cause I was short with fiat.

If you can manage to make money from gambling then you can go for it but its not recommended though as when you loose your percentage of loss will be higher then profits, and I also believe in earning them instead of investing money it as if we spend enough time behind it then you can earn good amount of bitcoins on regular basis.

not a matter of having a greater richness in bitcoin than fiat, if you believe in bitcoin fluctuations and other problems it is not a significant problem. besides there are many methods to get and cultivate bitcoin, may not use a gambling problem, but I suggest to use a small portion of your money, do not allocate too large money

I agree it is ideal and 50% is what I ise with most investments. When I see a coin doing well I will cash out half and ave the other half the investment for better days :) Pointless to keep fiat unless you need cash to pay for things. I know many places only take cash but this is mainly smaller business or at markets.

That's very conservative and that's good, in the event your investment will not succeed at least you will be able to recover fast. It's really hard to invest all our hard earned money and trust everything in the future of bitcoin. I would not do that as I do not want to take bigger risk.

I don't have any assets to be kept in bitcoin or any other currency, as i'm just an student right now and never have been working, but i just earn some money from bitcoin which are giving a financial support to me for my studies or other things.

i am very poor in bitcoin and I think I have less then 10% of my total assets in bitcoin. in assets I had included only financial amount of money and not gadgets like Computer, smartphone, camera or other gadgets. I have bank account and i have almost $170 in bank and in bitcoin I have only $12. do you could calculate the result roughly.

It's not something a bad thing to your friends!! . If you can do something extraordinary things in the bitcoin then you will be very lucky and rich taste, as in the bitcoin saved an awful lot of ways to be able to get the wealth quicker than those who use the roads. So, do your best, this thread was made to see how good you are in the future after writing this.

That is right. But for the time beinng, the bitcoin price is still very low. If you accumulate some, you will be rich.

If you can afford 0.01 bitcoin now, it is better to buy and hold. You will be rich later.

Less than 1% of my asset is in Bitcoin. But I think it will rise to 50% in the next ten to fifteen years.

I was a little bitcoin assets by around 7.5% because bitcoin is not easy to be obtained, it took a long time could let me have that many bitcoin, in my position right now is still a newbie so not a lot of assets

about 167%  :D :D

I have 𝓍$ in bitcoins and -0.4𝓍$ in fiat

I think that works out at 167% of my assets being in bitcoin, if my maths are correct.

40+ month 0% balance transfers are pretty sweet!

For the mean time my 90% income is from bitcoin because I don't have a job yet. My fiat income is only 10% because I am more active in online stuff rather than physical job. Maybe next year my % of bitcoin will decrease because I'm planning to go outside to find a better job.

I'm probably at around 25%. Feels like a lot, but as a young person I value potential growth over long term sustained value. That's why I'm moving out of gold and silver, and more into cryptos. My dad has no interest in my bitcoin fascination, but I completely don't blame him. He's like 100. I do still have some stocks and retirement, but it's so frustrating to watch and calculate how much I could've had if I'd put that money into cryptos.

My assets in bitcoin at this moment amounted to 25-30% of my capital and investments, but I hope to gradually increase this amount until approaching to 60-70% of my total assets. That is my current goal but always subject to review, of course.

My total asset of bitcoins is just 25% only because it will good return in future, i cannot completely relay 100% on bitcoin because we have many other sectors where we need survive with the money i am getting, even i have many other business which i am taking care off. So i need some more investments also so i am diverting some of money to different investment in future all will give fruit full income.

I don't have any yet since I'm new to bitcoin. My intention is to buy about 1 bitcoin per month and just keep accumulating. I see a very high price for these in the future. Maybe a few years from now.

Well, I didn't say how many bitcoins I have... But yes, I am in fiat debt at the moment, because I don't see the point in selling any bitcoins to pay off my fiat debt (as I don't have to pay interest on my fiat debt for over 3 years, and I believe the price of bitcoin will increase in the future).

Due to the recent price rise my bitcoin assets are closer to 175% now  :D

My assets in bitcoin are less than 10%. From my point of view this is related with the age each of us. Older people they have most of their savings in fiat money and probably some stocks and/or bonds. The younger ones is logical to have bitcoins as main asset because has less than 8 years in exchange markets.

I have less than 5% of my income into bitcoins. I'm fairly new to bitcoins but through a friend I invested in 1.6 BTC last September but sold 1BTC last Monday when it crossed the $1,000 line for profit. It's been rewarding so far but I've been advised to observe the market trends for a few days more before anything else.

Making profits is nice but not my main goal, free youre self from the corrupt banksters system is the most important one.

Nice dude, im realy happy for you. But tell me this.. What will you do if bitcoin fails in future? What will you do with 95% of your saving if bitcoin doesnt succeed? I think its not wise to have more than maybe 30-40% of you assets in bitcoin. Correct me if im wrong, maybe you know something i dont know?  :)

I second you on that brilliant point Eternu, even though I'm new to bitcoins and have just a few in storage I wouldn't risk beyond 10% of all my assets into it unless as you put it; he's seeing something we all aren't seeing yet.

Not much. Instead of hoarding bitcoins, I was more using bitcoins when I had a lot of bitcoins by today's standards.

If I had kept a small amount of what I spent over the years, I would be much better off financially then I am today. I don't have any regrets though.

With the recent increase in price, bitcoin is about 70-75% of my net worth now. Before bitcoin came along, I was gradually building up a portfolio of cash, silver, stocks, and even some foreign currencies. I had been hoping that the silver and stocks (many of which are shares of gold/silver mining companies) would get a big rise in value if there was another financial crisis and the dollar became devalued enough through inflation. But this has not happened yet to any significant extent and instead it has been bitcoin that has unexpectedly taken over the majority of my portfolio's value. It has been an amazing experience, and what is really nice is that if the dollar and much of the mainstream economy finally does crash I should benefit even more because the gold stocks, silver, and some of the other currencies will appreciate significantly as people flow into the "safe haven" assets.
