:) Title: Re: What should bitcoin.org do with the forums? Vote Post by: lacedwithkerosene on June 12, 2011, 08:17:43 AM I think the protocol for >50 posts should be changed to account >15 days old.
Additionally, I'd be interested in offering up a suitable domain for use (mod can pm me) if it should be moved. Title: Re: What should bitcoin.org do with the forums? Vote Post by: ripper234 on June 12, 2011, 08:21:44 AM Put a sticky thread about the Bitcoin Q&A (Stack Exchange) (http://area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/30763/bitcoin-crypto-currency), and embrace it as official. Stack Exchange sites moderate themselves.
Go there and commit if you haven't already! And pm a moderator if you want a sticky thread about Bitcoin Stack Exchange. Title: Re: What should bitcoin.org do with the forums? Vote Post by: adrian33 on June 12, 2011, 08:22:48 AM Bitcoin dev xf2_org mentioned to me today "This forum has been filled with garbage lately, and not even the bitcoin devs necessarily frequent it often."
The >15 day old rule is great. Also, outright banning of accounts wouldn't go astray, nor would flagging. There are some people coming (I think) that want to see bitcoin totally fail. |
