Why Ethereum Succeeded Where Bitcoin Failed

Imagine that tomorrow you wake up and discover that you’ve been taken for all you’re worth by an anonymous hacker. The thief has managed to steal everything that belonged to you and a good deal of others—$56 million worth of a new virtual currency that you’ve invested in, to be exact.....

Yet another shitpost article about how doing a "giveback" is a great thing.

It isn't, and it relegates Ethereum to the scrap pile of shit ideas overtaken by populism.

"Respect for the Ethereal community"?  Definitely not.  More like fear that they've opened Pandora's box.

But, Vice, what do you expect:  "If a majority of people don't like the way things are, they can fork the coin to do what they want."  Definitely not a safe place to keep your money because you never know when you are going to be in the minority there and the majority can come and confiscate/take your stuff.

Reminds me of Cyprus and the bailouts - there are no consequences for the people who screw up.

First of all it was The DAO and Ethereum own fault for enabling hacker to transfer these coins, their system was - simply put - flawed.
It is not the case that hacker found a way to hack every wallet and stole directly money from every user. It was deep network hack.
With bitcoin you can hack network in similar fashion the DAO was hacked so this whole discussion is leading us nowhere.
