Working with Azure does help, especially since there is now a viable blockchain product on the Azure market (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/partners/emercoin/emercoin/).
The driving factor to the recent increase is the news of Emercoin's existence breaking in to the Chinese market.
