Title: My involvement in Steem
Post by: TaunSew on July 22, 2016, 01:04:39 PM
I left NEM over a year ago and went off to Bitshares.  I got involved with Steemit pre-launch and now it's amazing to see it become a big success in cryptocurrency.    ;D

It's not yet late Steem is still a work in progress and they are not even a year old so many new features are being added so whether you want to be an active writer or just voter or curator you'll always have a chance to make it big here ..

Can somebody explain to me why, in terms of he has this hype?
Yes, there is a platform with articles and pay for them. But is this something new?

I don't really understand Steem's high value. It does seem cool you can get rewards for posting though.

All of the Steem threads are being started by people that are not even involved with or using Steen. It is a sock puppet smear campaign, similar to the sock puppet FUD campaigns previously mounted against Mine to and Ethereum. Some are pro-Steem to make it seem like the Steel community is attempting to pump up the value in a scamingly way, and some are anti-Steem to get across the true intent of the FUD campaign. All are meant to create a negative opinion of Steen.

have you seen this before? we can get paid in twitter and facebook, but you need to have to much followers... and still search for some monetization.
steemit have this by default and everyone can make some cash.

ps: no need to quote me telling steemit flaws like "whales are ruling it" or "no distribution/premine etc etc", i know all that and i'm against all that too... but still a good platform.

Sums up my thoughts well too. I don't recommend buying STEEM, but might as well try to cash in by creating content. The only thing it costs is your time.

Agreed, I would also take the view that investing some time on Steem to create quality output costs nothing other than time, you don't need to invest money if you are not yet convinced. And yes, some of the posts there are by folks with vested interests that cut both ways.

a small gene pool always yields mutants ... STEEM needs to grow fast otherwise content will end up being pathetic
