It shows that you can actually get in trouble for defrauding people out of bitcoin. So many scammers know that they can stay anonymous on the internet, and transfer some BTC to an anonymous address. It's very easy to scam some money in this area, so its no wonder so many fraudsters are attracted to Bitcoin. At least one of them got caught and got more than a slap on the wrist.
