People are starting to park their money in digital currencies, like bitcoin, rather than parking them in fiat currencies. If before, they only invest in traditional businesses, real estate, commodities and paper assets like stocks and mutual funds, the entry of digital currency is an opportunity for them to manage their risk since they know for sure that some people already lost trust of the fiat currency. They have learned their lesson on the market crash on 2008 and by investing in something new that's already making a name in the digital world, it would be an advantage and protection to them especially that the value of bitcoin increase drastically in less than a decade. Due to its deflationary nature, according to some people, it is expected to raise in value hence it encourage investors to invest in bitcoin.
