Title: Beware SCAM Fraud: Economic Frauds Detection & Prevention
Post by: paasschier88 on July 27, 2016, 09:03:20 AM
I bought some stocks last year through a company called Sustainable Investments, which I have since learned is a boiler room scam.

I found a website called "economic Frauds - https://economicfrauds.net claimed to help victims of scams and I filled in my details. They were looking for me to pay $250 in legal fees up front to join a legal case against Sustainable Investments.

I became suspicious of them, however, because despite calling themselves “Economic Frauds” there is no partnership or company name details and their address is a PO Box. They do not even have any authority to conduct investigations against companies. I learned that they are even getting money from the victims they are supposed to be helping.

Probably. It certainly wouldn't be the first time scammers have pretended to be scam investigators. What better way to steal money from people who, not to put too fine a point on it, are "proven suckers"?

When people get aware of some sort of fraud or scam activity, something innovative gets into existence to make people get caught into their trap. One such effort is this.

I am fairly certain most of the cases like this would be a class-action lawsuit,
and the lawyers would definitely not ask you to pay any money up front.
Law firms take their money from the winnings awarded in the case.
(Which is why they only take a case they think they can win in that sort of situation.)

Anyone asking for money up front is 100% a scam.

They also asked us to register in their website so they said we can upload all evidences we have in there so it will be secured. The problem is just to be a member we need to pay a registration fee of $299 (USD). The link they gave us was https://economicfrauds.net/subscribe. It is a clear economic frauds scam.  We are already a victim we don't like to be one again. Thanks guys...

Scammers also target emotional people who are victims of scams and hungry for refund or justice. They will use your anger and longing for refund to extract you of your money.

So don't just trust anybody instead of having justice they will just scam you again. So its better to just make your experience a lesson and be wary next time you make an investment.
