I mean ETH was forked when Homestead arrived and it's planned to get forked again with Serenity and that's fine. No, the main issue was that The DAO was bailed out. Even without Serenity, ETC must be forked eventually either to implement PoS or to disable the difficulty bomb that is already in place. That bomb is in place to force people to reach consensus before the blockchain slows down to a crawl. Without any forks the difficulty will climb so high on its own that nobody will be able to find blocks anymore. Title: Re: Ethereum Classic going to POS?
