Coins would have face value of .025 bitcoin. Come unloaded and come with 1 hologram. The holograms would be numbered, the coins would not be. I was wondering if there would be any interest in these. The price would be between 10 per coin including shipping in the USA. Bulk orders would certainly get a discount. These would be plastic coins printed from a 3D Printer. Coin design, color, and hologram are not final yet. Coins would be the size of a standard poker chip. I am just trying to see if there is any interest in this before I do anything.  Any other questions please let me know. September 1st is my deadline to have your coins shipped to you. If your name is green that mean you have paid for your coins 100%, if your name is red 50%.

These sound like Satori coins.   They are Japanese and look like poker chips, with holos.  If you live outside the US, you can ask them for a free sample.  If you are in the US, you may ask another forum member to reship them on your behalf.

Where? I really like those, but I do not thing they would be possible with 3D printing, I think 3D printing only does one color, or its just expensive for more.

If you need help, bigtimespaghetti offers services to help new makers produce coins and holos.

Since Satori doesn't sell to the US market due to FinCen regulation, there is likely a market for these inexpensive unfunded poker chip-type coins that can be sent to the US.    There have been other poker chip tokens made without holos from other companies as well.

Many people will say they prefer the option for escrow for coin makers not as well known, that are doing pre-orders.  Some possible escrows you could ask: SebastianJu, Blazed, OgNasty.

 OGNasty blocked me because I asked them to escrow a hero account enrolled in bitx sign campaign. I did not realize buying accounts for signature campaigns was so heavily frowned upon.

How do you guys feel with Quickseller as escrow?

Edit: I am still shopping around for holograms, but I can 100% surely say that the coins can be mailed out by September 1st, possibly the 2/3rd week in August.

I really like the idea of low denomination chips that can be given away at events and the like.

Higher denoms could appear if there was demand.

Dont come up with a solution too quick, I dont wanna make 100 coins per say and have 99 sitting that I cannot sell/give away lol.

Thing is, at the right price these things are ideal for Exhibitions, Events etc. Keep them cheap (not too cheap) and look for the marketing market. It's an area we are working on as there all these "Blockchain" events going on, doesn't hurt to remind them Bitcoin is there ;)

Although, good quality one (and to be fair the Satori Coins do feel nice) could be worth doing IF the cost points are right.

Number 5 is not available, I am going to post a list of numbers in the OP. The next lowest is 6. Well, coins will be mailed by august 1st. If I am allowed to use the funds that are escrowed than I would have a much cheaper coin if not no big deal.

Updated how would you guys feel if these coins shipped without the DIY hologram and that came at a later date? (But say 2 weeks from now you would get the coin if major of those who have paid for their spots vote that will decide, (So you bought 2 you get 2 votes)

Lol. It'd a question to get feedback, from an idea to your doorstep in 3 weeks I think is amazing. If I stick with the original deadline then that's only 4 weeks away, or September 1st.

Also the coin is DYI so I am only including the hologram I am not placing it on the coin. (Well I'm going to do a few to see how they stick but those are for myself)

I would prefer waiting to get the coin with the holo together.  I can wait another few weeks for the holo to come in. 

It would save yourself a lot of hassle and shipping cost not to have to ship twice per person.

Why are you going with laser printing vs. a poker chip maker?  Isn't it more expensive going 3d?  I am curious, because I too am from the U.S.  I like the Satori.  I paid someone from Europe for a couple of the Satoris and they feel really nice!

This "coin" is not what I expected and looks nothing like what you want the coin to look like.   :-\  Also, your 0.⁰25BTC on that picture is also deceptive because it looks like 0.25BTC  Is this the final product?

Why aren't you changing the design so there is no error? Having an error on purpose is not cool. Casascius error coins were more valuable only because they were a genuine mistake.

Well the error was in the draft picture... the physical plastic coin with the 7 in the middle I have about 10 of them right now. I am looking into labels now, I am definitely going to be applying a circular label on one side of the coin that has a cool design on it. Going to try to find the best labels I can and I will include a DYI hologram

Do it yourself.  Like the hologram will be on a piece of paper and you peel it off onto the coin.

These are not worth $10 each, and everyone knows that. You are going to have a lot of unhappy people soon.
You should have really got a few produced, so people could see exactly what they were buying, before you started taking payment for these "coins".
As mj has pointed out, these seem very rough, I do not expect a hologram to even stick on them. He also raises some other good points, so I won't bother repeating them..

I'm sorry, but imo, these are terrible :( I am glad I didn't get involved.

Please understand that this is NOT a jab at you personally, but I would be severely pissed if I spent $10 each on these.

I appreciate the effort you have put in but these, as they are at the moment, do not reach our desired quality standards for retail or resale to a consumer market. They just won't stand up, sorry.

I had sent a PM to the OP that I changed my mind on the reservation of the 50 coins.   Initially I wanted to give these away for my upcoming autographed Encyclopedia project, but I had envisioned poker chip coins in my brain, even though the OP mentioned they would be 3D printed.   

I would much prefer a poker chip type coin like Satori.  What I've seen of 3D printing, it doesn't have that level of quality that's expected.

If I go with poker chips there is no indenting to put the private key. That's why I think it would be better to just print a nice design

You are of course right about the indent and that's something that, if the design is of a high enough standard and the chips of good quality I think would be acceptable. The alternate view would be to get them "routed" so a small indent is created there, but as with all things, add a process and you're adding cost. Lots to research and time to spend...

Numbering was also another issue with the choice being "on holo" etching or "on chip", but then materials plays its part in that drama too....

As a result of our previous chat I did actually follow up with some manufacturers and holo makers.... it was an interesting pursuit and one that may yet yield dividends. ;)

Is it the final design of the coin ? 

An indention for the private key is not really needed if you are storing small amounts of BTC, and use one layer of paper.  There may be a slight bulge in the hologram but I kind of like that because it tells me there is a key under there  ;D
