Title: What is the simplest way to monitor a single mining rig?
Post by: teknic111 on March 23, 2013, 08:02:11 AM
I am looking for an easy way to monitor my rig.  Basically something that will sound an alarm when the server goes down.  What are my options?  I'm looking for something lite and simple. Preferably monitoring software that doesn't require me to install anything on my miner.

Thanks in advance!

Most of the pools have a miner fail sms/e-mail notification. So if you have a smartphone connected to the internet you will receive an email as soon as your miners are down.I also have TeamViewer installed on my phone and can check my rig  when I'm out.

There are all kinds of hardware monitoring watchdogs and remote management software available, but I don't really get into any of that. :P

I use the email notifications that Ozcoin sends out like juve4v said, and then I can SSH into my rig and check for any problems.

Nemo has what you are looking for, when miner stops, it restarts it automatically.
