Hey guys, you ever heard about this X11 Baikal Mini Miner? I saw it online but there's no much information about it. Can it mine ethereum? Did someone already tested it? Thank you.

But if it can mine those other algos?????? i dont think it will be long before we see the asic come come to market.. this company legit? i know you can get theses baikal units for 500usd from the manufacturer but how about asicmarkets eth asics?

The Baikal appears to be legit, quite a few reports of them "in the wild" around.
It does NOT mine ETH/ETC, it is for X11 (and possibly some of the other X13/15/etc type stuff I forget offhand on those - but I don't think it supports NON-X type algorythms).

 With *3* different companies all comming to market making X11 miners within about a 2 month period though, it's VERY iffy if any of them will ever achieve ROI on any X11-based coin (DASH is about the only one with significant market presence).

 In theory, the manufacturer will sell *1* unit to an individual at $450ish + shipping, but I've never found a link anywhere to actually DO that.


 There are *ZERO* reputable reports of any ETH/ETC ASIC miner - and every one I've ever seen a posting about was an OBVIOUS scam to date.
 Given the very short timeframe involved before ETH (and probably ETC?) moves to POS and ends all mining, I doubt that even a LEGIT ASIC would ever make back what you had to pay for it.


 Given some of the extravagent claims made, I have some serious doubts about how legitimate that asciminermarket site is.

Price is way off the mark for my money - not that the $/MH and power profile isn't great, but at the end of the day this is just some Ethereum miner, not a general purpose GPU I can easily sell when I'm done mining...

"asciminer" does NOT make the Baikal miner - at best, they might be a dealer selling it.

Looks too good to be true 440MH for 1800 watt that total BS no details on 5 September 2016 pre order all it is a box of fans nothing more. Proof of video of in action and opening boxes o units or its vapour

I wouldn't be surprised if they're legit - the hash rate and power consumption is certainly possible.  But the price makes it irrelevant, you would never get a return and unlike a GPU you'd end up with a dead piece of hardware if anything ever happened with Ethereum (PoS anyone)...

I wonder if these really are ASIC's or if they're FPGA's... They look like the older FPGA's setups that everyone was using back in the day, and I wouldn't think the market would be big enough to tape out and produce any custom silicon.

useless really, those algo are old and died, no matter what asic will emrge for them, new algo will always come up to kill any asic possibility

It is not fake!!! 100% legit! I have ordered from them an have received my order fast and with no trouble at all. asicminermarket.com is legit and has great shipping and service! Faster than the actual Manufacturer of the Baikal Miner itself actually! Baikal Miner Team is a real legit ASIC manufacturing group/company. I have a Baikal 150 MH/s. It mines ALL claimed Algos! Not just mines them... but does it well and very efficiently. This Company and Manufacturing deserve PROPER recognition!!!

 Odd, SHA256 is the oldest algo in the cryptocoin world yet it's still in widespread use and Bitcoin that uses it certainly isn't dead.

I have been using this to mine new coins like deep onion and it has been profitable. It’s hobby mining for fun so don’t think you’ll get rich quick off this but still it is nice to have to play around with and to learn about cryptocurrency. Dash has become too difficult to mine but you can mine a little and flip it for another one.
