Besides cashing out, which is the hard part, you can also spend them! e.g., bitcoinstore.com, bitmit.net

I'm trying to get some but locked up in the Coinbase debacle.... trade for a visa pre-paid card? I just put my first listing on bitmit for escrow offering purposes.

DON't sell by paypal, you might end up with nothing.

There's a lot of folks trade coins with paypal with no problems but there's a lot get burned by payment cancellations too.

How and why do those cancellations occur ?

I'm trying to get some but locked up in the Coinbase debacle...

What's the Coinbase debacle?  Being limited to buying 10/day?  Have you tried http://bitcoin-otc.com or https://localbitcoins.com?

...
How and why do those cancellations occur ?

The transactions are simply cancelled, paypal doesn't protect transactions involving virtual or non tangible goods and past evidence shows they do absolutely nothing if bitcoin purchases are canceled. That's only the tip of the iceberg, a financial crimes report from last year claims 20% of international transactions with paypal get canceled.

Ofc bitcoin transactions are final so the sender loses if they get screwed over with paypal. Fwiw a lot of folks trade bitcoin with linden dollars (second life money), it works out expensive but its a safe and convenient option.

Yeah, I know for lindens dollars that's how I learned about Bitcoin, I'm a secondlife dev  ;)
Thanks for the reply, sadly I think I will stay out of Paypal then even though that looked like the easiest way to exchange

Bought 1 BTC from this guy. SR wallet is showing 0.06. Does this mean that's all he sent, or is it possible that it's like a partial transaction?? Anyone with knowledge on how this works would be helping me out a lot.

Pretty sure OP in this thread is a scammer bought 0.5BTC with paypal he claimed it was sent from his silkroad road account over 2 hours ago when I asked for a TX ID or any proof about an hour ago he has gone silent and offline.

Dumb thing is he took payment via paypal so his scam is a fail

How many bitcoins do you need?

Steer clear of this guy. Paid for 1 BTC, received 0.06. Hopefully PayPal will have my back, but its gonna suck having that money tied up until they do.
