I've seen many people around bitcoiner who keep say/advice them to sell their bitcoin because various reason such as "sell before the price fall", "turn it into real money", "don't be fooled with that scam", "it's illegal to have/use bitcoin" or other reasons.
So, what would you say to people who advice you to sell all your bitcoin?

I just say to those people that it is my asset ( investment ) which I am holding and waiting for the price skyrockets. I will not sell my funds I am holding till the price goes upto $1000 or more.

i will not sell all of my bitcoin for real money, maybe just profit that i will sell, because for me, bitcoin is like budget that i used to make money on internet, especially for trading. then i will tell to that person, why you are not join with me to make money? don't you like to make money with free budget?  ;D

i don't know what bitcoiner is but i know this much that people are not giving advice to others, especially when money is involved, out of kindness of their hearts.

My policy is to keep my own counsel.  There's so much garbage advice being offered that its impossible to know what to believe.   And everyone has an opinion,  even if it's wrong.

That would depend on their argument on why I should sell the bitcoins. You can't just dismiss every single thing people say without making yourself look like a stubborn idiot.

Actually they are the optimists. They want you to sell your bitcoins so that they can buy it cheaper. My suggestion is don't sell any of your bitcoin. You will sell your fortune.

Bitcoin has the potential to become huge. Wait for some more years and you will be rich. Don't get provoked by them.

normally when i hear a crowd of people shouting out its time to sell bitcoin, i just see it as an opportunity to buy slightly cheaper if they do sell.

i have seen it happen a few times in the past. especially with goldhoarders. they try to get people to sell their bitcoins for gold.. but the secret is the gold hoarders are trying to get rid of their gold for bitcoin.

in short when someone is trying to sell another person is trying to buy. so think of the opposite to when "others" are telling you to do and think hard about why they are telling you to do it.

I would advice him to not sell al your bitcoin money because it is better to invest in shares in one site which i know to get big profit with shared example invest 1$ get 200x bigger money after 1-2 year in that sute and i would explain him how.

I'd tell them to take all of their fiat currency and sell it for gold, or another fiat currency. They don't realise that coins are actual currency, and that a lot of people don't just keep them for investment, but actually use them to buy goods and services. I could just as easily provide no evidence or reasoning and say "sell all your dollars and buy pesos" and they'd laugh me out of town - they're telling us the same.

Ironically , those people are most of the time Altcoin users.

I personally wouldn't say much , I will simply disagree with them. Each one has his own opinions , you think that Bitcoin is going to die ,right? you gave me an advice , now it's up to me take the right decision and It will be my responsibility If I lose money.
Now it depends , If there are some good arguments (like real arguments) I may think about it otherwise I will just disagree as I stated above.

sometimes they're right in the short term but so is a stopped clock a couple of times a day. either way it's my decision to make and anyone who believes they have a clue what bitcoin's gonna get up to in the future needs a reality check.

this forum has a rich catalogue of people who declared everything was dead and sold up and it was often in the sub $20 days. either they were making a shitty attempt to scoop up more or they really did disappear and curse themselves every moment since.

i will takeit as a good advice because i know the present but future is unexpected so its better not to take risk when someone  is saying me to sell it now maybe thats a sign

I would ask them if they have sells their bitcoins, if they say no then I would block/ignore them.
Sometimes is good to hear suggestion from others but after all I'm the one who make the decision what to make with my own money.

For me they are none sense why i will sell my bitcoins right now.? do you think the price of bitcoin will fall instead of increasing.. honestly we are still not experience of any changes after block halving and we are still waiting for the price increase.. so better to hold and wait for the best time to sell..

I will just say to them that I believe bitcoin will rise in value and it's my own investment so I can decide when I will sell them. It's just a matter of patience because if major investors are investing on it which means they believe that they can profit from it someday, then I would also believe in it.

All those reasons are stupid. Yes I get that the price can fall, but that's just what happens sometimes.

I used to reply telling people to buy themselves some Bitcoin, use it and see... Now I don't even bother, I just reply "No".

Meh -- I just laugh at them and maybe use it to buy another gift card if I even feel the need to "get rid of" my Bitcoin at all.

"Bitcoins aren't illegal" which is what I tell those defaming it and to others who recommend to sell all my coins, I thank them for their advise but at the end follow my own instinct. I always keep the "Sell" amount in mind when I trade bitcoins and if it drops below that amount, I choose to sell my bitcoins or not but I never follow what others tell me to do unless they are reputed members whom I can trust with regards to the market.

It is my money and i am responsible for my actions. If i lose it all. Fine, but at least it was my own decision. Maybe i will learn from it, maybe not, but it is my fault.
Imagine a friend/family member gives you advice and you listen blindly to it and lose a lot of money. This will be awkward the next time you see this person.
There are so many people out with no idea what they talk about or even worse (they know but lie to you to gain some profit).
Most people learn the hard way, but you need to decide on your own. Even parents can be bad counsel.
If someone has to offer advice you can listen, but then check for yourself and then decide. 

no i am not ready to sell my bitcoin in any cost because i do advise to my friends to buy bitcoin because bitcoin is in his lowest price currently and it is going to increase very soon and no one will find such an opportunity any more, so how can i think to sell my bitcoin, i am going to hold it for next 2 to 3 year, hope my bitcoin will give a very good profit in near future.

You know what I will tell them? STFU!! I am making money from Bitcoin since the very beginning of 2013, and on top of that it allows me to store money outside the reach of governments and banks. No way am I going to sell all my coins.

as a general rule , whenever you see a lot of chatter on the social media that is saying sell all your bitcoin, bitcoin is dead, dump is incoming, or the funny thing is when I see Kuwukduck on speculation board screaming bitcoin back to $200
these are all indications that show you that there is a good opportunity in the near future for you to buy bitcoin because idiots are going to sell and you can be there to take their coins out of their hands for cheap and then sell it back to them in a couple of days with a higher price ;)

I continue to hold till I experience the targeted price. Fortunately with greediness missed the chance when price went over $750.

i never take advice from random people on the internet so, i don't even listen to them in the first place.

even if i read any of their topic that would only be because i am looking for a good laugh.

maybe all those people are just not visionary enough to see the potential of the bitcoin project.

I would tell them that without Bitcoin I would not have access to many of the services I use, whether that is trading or gambling, both of these things are made so much easier by using bitcoins. I do not worry if the price of Bitcoin changes, if I can make money trading then I will do it with bitcoin.

i am holding my bitcoin for long term investment and not going to sell it in present time, those people who have invested their money for short term investment i think they are worrying about the the decrease of bitcoin, but i think it will be a temporary downfall, and hope that the price of bitcoin will increase so much.

i would only click the ignore button on their comment or if it is on a social media like reddit i will just click the down vote and continue with my life as before.

I'll just forgot what they told me after their advice to sell my Bitcoin. Because, its my wish whether to sell or hold my BItcoin.

He clearly has no good intentions if he is giving you the advice of selling all of your bitcoins. Many of us here keep the bitcoins for a longer term hoping the price will increase so its not advisable to listen to such advice no matter from which person is, even if its from the closest person to you , you should not listen to your advice. If you sell all of your coins, then all of your hard work in collecting them is gone and in the future you don't have anything which can use as a motivator like bitcoin. I use it a lot as a motivator when I am sad I keep telling to myself I am one of the few selected people who is holding some precious thing like bitcoin. You will be left out in misery if you sell your coins.

of course it is better not to sell all your bitcoins right now because in my opinion right now bitcoins can make you money so you should buy even more

I am confident that my (limited, but still better than most, not familiar with BTC people) knowledge about bitcoin is sufficient to fend off totally idiotic arguments like 'bitcoin is a scam' or ' bitcoin is illegal'.

The only solid argument is: why don't you sell your BTC now/tomorrow/after next price spike.
And I always tell them one simple truth - that if I am not in a dire situation when I desperately need every cent, then it is simple stupid to sell your bitcoin stash now.
Who knows, Bitcoin might be worth $xxxx or maybe even more before 2020 year. Selling it now will close my door to that future.

I believe in Bitcoin. But I reassure myself by selling 50% of all my incoming Bitcoins. I keep 50%. So my stake is increasing slowly, but I still have same backup in fiat.

Nothing. I'll just ignore them. I know that Bitcoin will bring me more wealth in the way that my coins go up in value, and also in the way that my wealth doesn't go down because of fiat losing more and more value every year. I let the results at the end speak for itself. :)

i would advice people to have patience till its price has grown up to a very high level .well according me  if the price grows up to 2000bucks per btc by 2020? then its advisable to sells all r bitcoins .another question might raise in ur mind that if this system gets crshed ?then what will happen ..then i cant say much about that .i dont think that the system of bitcoins would crash so easily ..if it would crash then it would take a lot of time ..so chill out man ..have patience .dont sell out all ur bitcoins .if u wanna buy something buy it ,but dont sell all ur bitcoins ...kudos :)

When the price of bitcoin reached to $450 from $380 within a week then there were some people who started to say that sell all of your coins as according to them it is the highest peak and after that the price will go down deeper, at that time I ignored theirnews and now I am saying to them that yousold all of your coins while I doubled my money with bitcoin from $380 to $660.

Nobody will tell me what to do with my money.... you worked hard for your money and it's yours to do what you want to. I have spend a few years collecting mine and I will not be told what to use it

for or how I can or cannot spend it. The people who want to tell you what to do with your money have hidden agendas, and you have to watch them very closely. In time you will find the real reason

i was so often got those advice in trollbox at local exchange and i personally don't trust them all because all they want only take advantages from the situations especially when bitcoin or altcoins has been fall however they could not ever influence me

i also ignore the people who tell me to sell my bitcoin, actually there were a lot of them because they dont believe in bitcoins but i always hold no matter what they think

and what do you say about the current situation, do you think that the price will go down any more, and what will be your reaction if it continue falling down, very honestly it really turn down my PB bu still holding my bitcoin in the hope that the price will not go down any more, i dont know what are people giving preference to panic selling.

I haven't sold any of my bitcoin when price gets dumped because there is a rule in trading never sell on dumps and never buy on pumps.  ;)

I would say that they aren't necessarily wrong, they might be right in some cases. If Bitcoin's value is sliding, back out and wait to buy more when the value is lower. As for selling my Bitcoin when the value is fine and nothing seems to be slipping, that's a different story. I would probably ignore them unless they had a really compelling argument for my selling.

The price of bitcoin growing pretty good year after year, there’s would be decrease of course, but price of btc will continue to increase, you can convert it some for buy something but to keep saving is the good investment, I agree with “sell it when the price $1000 or more”.

yes that is good idea to ignore them, and pay no attention to them, i think we need to be very careful in present situation, becuae the pric of bitcoin is decreasing so much and is really creating panic situation but we should give any attention to this and just to remain calm.

i only sell my bitcoins when the price is really high too, i think that right now is a wrong time to sell if you dont want to miss a chance to make money

yes and that is why i am not going to give any attention to such advices, in turn i want to tell them just to hold their bitcoin and do not sell it. because the price of bitcoin has to take a U turn and will start rising again very soon, therefore i think instead to selling we should try to buy more bitcoin because this opportunity will not come back.

Not much, since I don't care about what other people say regarding my finances. People suggesting selling Bitcoin for fiat junk money can't be taken serious. I would immediately question their financial competence. In addition it's kinda brash and arrogant to give unrequested "advice" to other people that have not shown any ambiguity regarding their own decisions. The only exception would be that the person giving advice has new exclusive information that warrant a fundamental reassessment of the original decision.

In general my answer would be: Mind your own business!

I would not even try to illuminate these kind of people about their malformed opinion, since they won't be receptive for new information, because they are convinced to be in the superior position to give others advice.

I wouldn't listen to other people's advice. I have my  own plans with bitcoin and I trade and lend it. Others may not think it has any potential so they will miss out on big profits if bitcoin is a success.

I will say that you do not know about bitcoin and do not know that with that coins I will earn a bigger amount in the coming future, and will say that the price of bitcoin will increase much higher sooner so you also need to buy some coins so that you also come to know the value of bitcoin.

There are two types of people:
1. People who just want to make people lose their money.

2. And others who actually want to help you.

My advice is to not be stupid and use your common sense when selling and buying BTC.  ;)

I never heard about the another people's say for me, but I just selling if I having urgent needs... but at this time will appear a lot of people will selling their bitcoin because the appeared off the big case giving a large impact for bitcoin without needs any advice from another people.

I'll tell them this, "  MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS" Whatever I do with my Bitcoins, it is none of your business. If ever the price of bitcoins fall, why would you care? It is my loss and not yours. If ever I get scammed, why would you bother to advice me, its my bitcoin and not your so I have every right to do whatever I want to do with my bitcoin because it is mine!

Everytime people said that  i should sell my coins since the price  of bitcoin is continously falling i just keep my mouth shut since i dont have   many bitcoins in my wallet. haha  ;D In my opinion  bitcoins price dummal same as  previous dumps it would  bounce up again for sure. There are really times  that bitcoin suddenly drop its price.

I just say yes, now we can see within week bitcoin's price come down, and it will continue for a few weeks and after it bitcoin price grew up, and may be it will be grow more than $1000. So i want suggest you sell the bitcoins, i also have sell my bitcoins, actually i have 3 bitcoins and i safe because of halving, and now i sell it and i think i am right, because now bitcoin is under $600.

but you should never panic sell your coins.

Depends on what their reason behind such advice is.If they say price is going to fall,I would wait and analyze market myself.Turn it into real money,I would tell them that bitcoin is a real money to me..
So I would evaluate their reason first and respond accordingly

My Answer Depends Upon the Advice the User Giving to me Because if He Advice me to Sell Bitcoins Before the Market Price Fall, So I Just Give  an answer That Bitcoin is My Own Asset so I can Decide that When to Sell My BitCoins And I also Ask Them I Don't Need Your advice.....

There is no one asking me like that but if there is someone who would say that to me, i will simply reply that i have a trust in bitcoin and i know that it has risk but you wont gain anything if you are afraid to try something that you might earn and for me its a big opportunity knowing about bitcoin.

if someone advised me to sell my bitcoin yesterday morning i would have introduced him to law enforcement today because only the hacker knew the price will take a hit today :)

Yeah, that's right because basically no one knows the price of bitcoin to come. Some people are doing the analysis, but the analysis is not bound to happen it was just a new estimate. Better confident with our own thoughts.
Investment indeed at risk, and if it we can not accept the risk that then I suggest not investing :)

All I can say to those people is "mind their own business" Because I do believe that many of the bitcoiner here they joined for the purpose of their investment, some are assets, or believing something about bitcoins. And majority of it, including myself that in the long run or time will come that the price will rise up just like a sky rocket. and then thats the right time to sell our bitcoins to become a real money. :D

Although of course, the reason behind why they want me to sell my coins is going to be the basis of what I'm going to do. If they're just going to say that bitcoin is "scam or illegal" then I would just ignore them at all.

I told them that "why should i sell my bitcoin if i really love using bitcoin. I told them that in bitcoin theres a lot of things that we can do,such as go online shopping, sending money to loveones who are far away from you. And using bitcoin is less hassle. Lots of uses and more convenient to use.

I will say that i will not sell  Bitcoin because it has a very great future. Price of Bitcoin is expected to go high. Having bitcoins is a good investment. I will think that those people dont know the real worth of bitcoin.

in present time i am not going to sell my bitcoin at any cost, because it is expected that in fuure the price of bitcoin will trading a very very high vale may be above 1200USD.

I will say to them that you are unaware with the current situation of bitcoin as now the price of bitcoin has started to increase and it will increase more so if I will sell my bitcoins then I will deny myself from the coming high profit from the price rise of bitcoin.

don't take advice from strangers! not everybody that is online is giving good advice. so if it is a troll or an FUDster then you should ignore them but if that person is a trusted one that you know and trust his financial judgement then there is nothing to say, you should accept it.

besides you can see every person's record whether it is on a forum or in real life, you can see how right and successful they were and how many times they were wrong.

Yes its better to ignore them and hold our coins for the future as this is not the right time to sell coins as price is not too high at a moment but we can expect better price in future.

in present time i don't think that it will be such a good decision to sell bitcoin, as the price of bitcoin are increasing so rapidly and it is expected that the price of bitcoin will go so high in next few month therefore i am not in favour of to sell bitcoin in present time i will like to wait for some time tell the price increase.

I would say them that where is the proof or news about that ,if he answered it ,last thing is send an actual or wallet account that have been sold all their coins as a proof .

I would to say to them this "Mind your own bitcoin people, it is my bitcoin and I'm gonna decide what to do with it.", but the main reason why I wouldn't sell my bitcoin is that I'm waiting the right moment that it will rise above the sky. It's a naïve decision if you'll gonna listen to that bullshit. They didn't even know what will happen in the future so why listen to them?. Most of the people are just telling this nonsense because they just want to be the one who are going to be benefited when the BTC currency goes high.

I will listen to them but won't react to it and continue to follow my gut feeling, if I am making some profits then I won't mind in selling some of them to secure profits but will never sell all of them.

Everybody has a freedom to give advice to anyone. If somebody ask me to sell all my bitcoins, The first thing I'm going to do with it is, I'll respect what he/she said, but I won't sell it,  it is my decision when will I sell it,.

That's a strong belief about in bitcoin. I admired you for believing bitcoin, in that way I think some of the readers her will get astonish in it. But same as you I do believe bitcoin can do big better into my life in the near future.

The first question is, why should I listen to that person, as far as I know all bitcoin holder have their own choice for they are going to do with their coins whether they lost it or not. Besides Bitcoin will always be increase even it will decrease sometimes.

The answer is simple, as long as you have enough money for your daily expenses and bitcoin is your 'insurance money' and savings then you don't want to sell it - never.
Over course of years bitcoin was declared dead by various 'experts' numerous of times. And we are still here. So unless you are dirt poor or need money, wait for it.

I only listen to what the market dictates, not to some person who doesn't know any better than I do. I set my own buy and sell targets and I think these are already good enough for me, if only I could follow it religiously. But fortunately, I haven't come across somebody who tells me to do what he thinks I should do.

well if the can persuade me and give me a good reason to sell then maybe i am going to sell, as we know its not a wise to put too many coins in wallet and i am going to sell my money if i am in need of money, if not then i will prefer to save it

I am sure that you will not sell the coins you have, if the coin is indeed the thing that determines your life the next day: V. everyone will certainly sell a few coins to make money because it needs and must have had a good purpose

Sorry but you are barking on the wrong tree.  I am not interested on what will he said or maybe give me some good reason to convince me on selling my coins.  I have my own decisions in life and I will not take or allow anyone to dictate or give any directives.

I will say them "F Off"...that's the best sentence I have for them. I take bitcoin as an investment and not as a normal currency. I am planning to hold all my bitcoins for another 5-7 years and then I will sell it off to enjoy the fruit. Not anytime before that.

People will try to demoralize you to sell all your bitcoin, because they want to buy cheap and enjoy the result afterwards. Don't listen to them and keep holding your fortune. 

I would explain in.short the history of Bitcoin, how the price was moving within years and why is good to.keep a certain amount of Bitcoin. They have to think on long term basis. In the future the demand for Bitcoin will rise and sow will rise the price so Bitcoin will have much higer value that it has now. So, basicly I would explain that Bitcoin is good investment for the future and although I don't like for coins to sit idle, selling everything is very bad idea.

it mainly depends on who is telling you to sell your bitcoins. for example there are a couple of users on the speculations board that have been saying sell all your bitcoins because bitcoin price is going to fall to $100 but it is obviously full of shit.

but if my friend that i know him, and i know he is good about his investments tells me to sell i would but i ask for reason and for a price to buy back in again.

I usually followed their advice, more precisely at the moment when I do need Fiat and when the price is high enough.
But for people who tell me that Bitcoin is a scam or some kind of it, well I'll tell them the opposite of that. I'll tell them to hold their Bitcoin because spending it is just a stupid thing to do, and I'll tell them that they will regret it if they spend their Bitcoin now.

Yeah spending now is not profitable as price is not at the top at a moment, but if we can afford to hold them for next couple of years then we may make some good profits from it by selling them at higher price.

It depends to who is that person, if he/she is a bitcoin expert, I might listen to him/her, because he/she has knowledge about how the market is going. But if the person doesn't know about bitcoin at all, I won't follow his/her advice, because he/she don't know the potential of bitcoin.

If he is a expert person then he will never give advice for free, as there are many trading experts are available who take a fees from you to give you tips related to altcoins.

I suggested to immediately sell for the price movement bitcoin unstable. I advised them to sell when they have benefited. a small but very meaningful.

I follow the same strategy, if price is higher then my entry price then I don't hesitate in selling my coins to secure the profits as I can buy it again when price drops in future.

Yes, if it comes from the expert maybe i will consider his advice but if he is someone who dont have enough knowledge about it and just want to state his opinion then i will not take his advice. it depends on me if i can see that the price is fine to sell.

Its better not to take any advice from strangers, as if their advice goes wrong then it won't make any difference to them but it will make you loose your money.

If someone advice to sell my bitcoin right now probably tell to her/his that im not going to do that because in my side and in my future instinct there are chance that bitcoin will be increase the price again it will be increase at the same price when its 2013 when the bitcoin is almost 1000 dollars

I would say I'm not going to do that because bitcoin is making me alot of profit in the future so why would I throw that all away for a quick buck right now.
Im keeping them and I will sell them in the far future 3+ years.

Even the price fall thats okay for me why? because im earning bitcoin for free and i don't care if the bitcoin fall i will never sell my bitcoin for any invalid reasons and i will keep my bitcoin in my bitcoin wallet and wait until the further announcement that bitcoin will be fall or maybe increase on this year.

Well that's the right thing to do, and if you can manage to hold them for a long term then you may expect higher profits in future as price will surely go higher in future.

I would tell him to shut up and mind his own business.  I have my own decision in life and cannot be dictate by someone.  If ever that he have a good reason behind that then I may or might be accepting his reasons but would not take it seriously.

Firstly I will reject him because I don't want to sell bitcoin now. I am waiting for price hike and I am ready to wait 2 years for that. I had suffered losses in bitcoin and by selling them after 2 years I want to make my profit.


But well if the price don't rise again then i would praise him for his suggestion. All it depends on GOD.

May be he would be a genuine person holding good knowledge of bitcoin and want to help you for your good so that you can make some good profits from it, so its always wise to listen what people are advising you.

i have been heard all about this with very often and usually those people are very hated with bitcoin

but i personally will ignore what they said and always believe bitcoin will never fail at least in the next 10 years bitcoin will survive

I would tell them that I would just hold my coin because it has been tried and hacked that causes the price to fall down but then after some time its back on track again continuously going up so I believe that it will go up high int the future. I don't worry that much if the price fall down because I plan to hold my coins for a long time and besides I am not also just solely holding it but use it in trading so that I can accumulate more coins. It's been getting popular also so its demand also will increase which can cause the price to increase.

It why bitcoin is compared th gold, if someone told you right now to sell all your gold for fiat cash, you would laugh at them and say "yeah dead on"  ;D

if you are a job worker or just getting a salary of any kind of job at monthly bases and you do not want to risk your money then this selling btc is good advice for you but for traders its a playground with maximum risk and madimum profit/loss the more riak means the more chance to make money

I am having a full time job with a good salary, but I think the other way, I will prefer to spend my fiat on day to day expenses and will prefer to save my bitcoins for the future as it will holding higher price in coming year.

I think I wouldn't even care to reply to those, any close follower to this forum knows these bursts of "sell sell sell" is just a way some traders aim to decrease the price temporary through, I doubt it's effective anymore though with the large market size currently.

I would say that the price of bitcoin will decline. so selling bitcoin is a very appropriate choice. extremely difficult to set such thoughts.

I think it greatly depends on the context. It's not excessively rude to tell someone to mind his own business, if the person in question was trying to aggressively convince a stranger to sell his Bitcoin without being asked for advice in the first place. It also depends on if the person in question gives any reasons for his/her recommendation or if he/she is just reiterating a preconceived opinion of the mainstream media without thinking by himself/herself. In the latter case, it's safe to qualify the person as misinformed and intrusive and treat him/her accordingly.

Of course it's always necessary to be open for different opinions that are based on new information and analysis. Albeit I would argue that competent people are in general not inclined to through around their insights, because they consider them precious and don't want to annoy people anyway...

i never take advice from random people who may not have enough knowledge to even be able to give me advice and this is advice on my money we are talking about not some random not so important matter.

so with that said, when i take advice from people i trust, then i listen to them even if they tell me to sell all my bitcoins because i am sure they have a good reason for it. and so far no one has told me to sell but they all say buy buy buy...

Imagine the best case scenario of those people who persuade other people into selling all their coins. The best case would be all of us will be hypnotized and sell our coins. The manipulators would be very happy because Bitcoins would deflate and at that point, they'll buy as much coins as they can. Don't just simply follow every advice that were given to you.

I wouldn't waste time to tell them I won't sell, People have been going on about selling BTC and how it's already finished for years now, most of these posting that kind of things are buyers wanting to get bitcoin cheap and trying to induce a price fall.

I would have to ask for their reasoning behind it.  There are to many people who do not understand what bitcoin is and how it can be used.  Some people call it a scam and I have to ask why they do this.  Bitcoin is great and has more potential than most new businesses that start out.  Give me a good reason and I will sell, until then, I am not selling.

That's the main reason why they keep on saying that they don't believe you can earn online by answering captha's etc.
My one friend said that it is just wasting of time you can't earn from it .don't invest , or that is an scam .i just ignore it and don't mind so time comes he ask me what you do to earn online i said that the one i told you before .

There are so many people who did not understand the way bitcoins to earn so they tend to stop bitcoining and said its a scam or they have a bad experience .it is better to ignore them if they had a bad reason till time comes they ask you again.

These people are actually opportunist who will ask you to sell all your bitcoin holding so that they can buy it cheap and make good amlount of profit in future. Simply I will ask them to mind their own business instead of disturbing me because I am an optimistic guy and I am thinking long term for bitcoin.

I am storing my bitcoin to get a good amount of profit 5-7 years down the line. I have a day job so I don;t depend on my bitcoin earning. It is just an extra toppings for the future.

It depends on person, who will give me advice about bitcoin's sell. For example if I have 1 bitcoin and quickly, in some days want to earn very small money, than if good trader in bitcoin would give me an advice and that person would be successful or someome who I know and trust, than maybe I would sell but I always do everything myself and nowdays bitcoin'sprice isstable and I wouldn't sell.

I would want to hear a reasonable explanation from the person who gives me that advice.
If he has one I would have to check his theory or sources myself.

That's the right thing to do, listen to everyone but only follow your gut feelings and sometimes the expert advise can even go in our favor and if you feel that you are making enough profits then you can sell your coins.

I agree that it is one of the best decision a person can do.  Listen then study the scenario.  At the end of the day you are the one to decide so it is a good thing not to have an argument with them.  This will not only showing them your respect, it will also save you from a heated debate that may affect your relationship with them.

Well that's true that bitcoin is a future currency but we also should sell them at any point of time when price goes higher in future and we are making descent profits from it.

I personally ignore a majority of the people who tell me to sell my Bitcoin, and I opt to just watch the market myself and adapt to what I see happening. If the market looks like it is going through a rough spot, then I might sell, if it is going up I'll buy or hold. I rarely listen to people who advise me on which to do.

I would say to them that I'm not in hurry and I have invested in bitcoin because I wanted too, so since I don't need the money urgently I'm not forced to sell them and it's not the right time to sell because I believe that bitcoin has more potential and can have a greater value.

I am agree,  it is depend on when the people advice me to sell my bitcoin. I am not fool to accept their advice when the price of bitcoin is drop. I will accept their advice when the bitcoin price is up and I can get profit from it. then If bitcoin price is drop again I will buy it again, and it is will happen continously until I get rich with bitcoin. it is mean my decision is not depend on their advice but it is my own will. I am not worried about bitcoin, I realy sure that the price will always rise although may be there are fluctuation of bitcoin price that good for trader.

Most of the people who are with the opinion of selling all the bitcoins are the ones who haven’t recognized the true potential of bitcoin or who are less than average risk takers. I would say don’t hold your bitcoins if you are not confident about it, there is no point of investing without having faith. Bitcoin is a revolutionary technology and has great potential and thus I am very interested to be a part of it from the beginning but that’s my opinion and I can’t force it on someone else.

What you said is true that we need to have faith in the potential of bitcoins as it will grow much higher in future but if price goes higher in recent times and if its giving you profits then its good to sell a part of it.

And perhaps most important bitcoin sell when prices rise. Myself sell bitcoin every month I get from the signature campaign and trade. If prices go up no matter how small I immediately sell it, but if the price drops I'll hold it.

Well, it really depends on what the goal of the person is. Some people buy just to hold long term regardless of price fluctuations. Selling every time the price goes up by $10 - $20 can be stressful and is not for everyone. Personally, I have pre-set sell orders that are triggered when what I consider milestone prices are reached. Like I have sell orders at $750, $900 and $1,100, so there is nothing I have to do  :) For me, this is a lot easier and hassle free than having to constantly monitor the price.

When someone ask me to sell my bitcoins, i will just rebut and tell him lets sell yours :) since i am long term holder i usually save few coins weekly from my over all earnings.

I will respect their advice but will take decision according to my belief and research and if I feel that the price is good to sell then I will go for it or else will wait bit longer.

I just pity them for having misleading knowledge about bitcoins, since he doesn't know the advantages and how easy it is to to use and transfer without hassle. Sometimes i try to educate him about bitcoins, but most of the time i fail.

Yes if we sell by following their advice and if price rise after that then we will surely blame them for giving us wrong advice but the fact is they should not be blamed for that as its in your hands to make a final  call.

But at times people can give you very good advice which if you follow will surely save you from loosing your hard earned bitcoin. It is advisable to look at all the advice you are receiving from different people and then choose the ones that you feel most suitable to go for. That's my personal opinion though.

Listening to others is good but sometimes it comes as harmful when a person with lack of knowledge will advise you. It happened to me a person told me to that to sell all my bitcoins and invest them in OneCoin and after reading about OneCoin I found that it is follish to convert bitcoin to inecoin.

Well it is your personal decission whether you want to sell your bitcoin or hold it. But of course, do not easily listen to them but instead do your own research. Consider their advise also, and look after the price if you are satisfied or not or if you want still to hold your coins. In the end, it is still you who are going to decide.

I would reply that they can sell their btc if they want it so much but they should let me make my own decisions. BTC cost more than it does now. And yet the price is rising, so why should I sell my bitcoin now? There is no sufficient reason to do so, and if there's no sufficient reason then I won't do that. Oh, and it is not illegal to use bitcoin in my country, so it's not and argument.

as bitcoin is a private currency and you are the owner of the bitcoin you have in our wallet so you have the right to use it according to your wish, either you want to use it or store it or spent is in shopping, you have fully right for that and now one has the right to stop you from doing so and no one can claim for that bitcoin that you are owning. therefore people should not pock their nose in some one private affairs.

I should be out of my mind in the first place to allow myself to be lead by blind and people not well informed about goings-on in the cryptocurrency industry. There are always exceptions of course. I'm not such a bull-headed person who can't see reason. If it was advice from a friend whose judgement I trust(trading and the like), then I would listen, and make up my mind after. Whatever people say about your bitcoins, the decision is still yours to make. Better to do your own work and research when to sell and buy. Planning accordingly is better so you won't be basing your decisions on hearsay and hype created by others, whether it is for buying or selling.

I would listen to them but do what I would feel like and that would be to keep my bitcoin safe in my online btc wallet and try to earn and accumulate as many as I can and wait for the btc prices to go up and up and then sell them

Yes, I agree.. Its better to listen first then ignore. Many people now wants to buy bitcoins from other person at lower price. I also experience that a friend approach me to buy my btc at lowest price, his reason was at least i don't need to go outside and withdraw my earnings. But come to think of it, Why on rush to sell bitcoins if its price was getting high. and its better to save bitcoins now a days, who knows, its price really climb up to 1000 USD at the end of this year. Just listen and Ignore. No need to Argue with them. That's the best thing to do.  ;) ;) ;)

It is a matter of personal preferences or needs. For example my advice will depend on who is listening if the Bitcoin holder's purpose is investing I would advice him not to sell yet their Bitcoin not until they reach  the margin of $900 - $1000 as it can give them a high value for their money. Not all people have the same objective in life so really it is up to the person who is in possession of the Bitcoin on whether to sell it or not.

They are really mad and dumb guy they have no idea of bitcoin and they don't know its history also they know bitcoin's market capitalization and it's demand. Day by day it's demand is increasing and so price of bitcoin is also getting increased.

Yes i really agree with you requester. Yes bitcoin price is progressively increasing day after day and we should not do sell our bitcoin now because a miracle is waiting May be after 3 4 years. So let's wait and see the miracle.

Yes cause it worked so well from people that purchased a Bitcoin on Nov 13, 2013 for over $1200 for 1 coin.
Now over 3 years later, we ~$750 ,

That is right, no one knows it all and no knowledge is waste! Keeping an ear on what others have to say isn't bad in any financial market as long as one is already well versed and ahead to be able to sieve the wheat from so many chaffs. Bitcoin is a speculative asset and panic sell off is one of the regular features one should expect here. What is good about situations like this, is that it can alert discerning traders of good opportunities for mopping up the excesses in the market.
