Title: Can we have a game similar to Slither.io ?
Post by: Indianacoin on July 30, 2016, 10:38:23 PM
We already know chopcoin.io, which is based on agar.io but rewards qualified participants with bitcoins.

Can anyone here make a similar platform for slither.io with reward system similar to chopcoin?
Here is the source code if anyone wants to develop on it in future: https://github.com/iiegor/slither

Since agar and slither are both popular games, we can promote bitcoin on a vast scale if we have something similar to slither.
Waiting for someone to take the torch...

Isn't there a problem with bots on those games? I tried both with a friend, both on mobile ad pc, and I liked them, but I'm not sure I trust a gambling version of the game, because it should be easy to create bots and exploit the game. I think that's the problem with most of these popular games. No one makes a bot to play for fun, but they will do it for sure when there is money involved.

I think that can be easily overcome by contacting www.evenbalance.com since they have been veteran since 15 years with their top-tier anti-cheat solution in the video game industry.

Also agar.io was exploitable with bots but on the contrary no one can exploit chopcoin.io I guess.
I will pm them in case they are interested to come out with something.

Chopcoin has made their changes and i believe they are very secure, i dont know if there are any bots there but might be, slither is like an upgrade of agario. They could easy add a new mode with slither soo there wont be needed another domain or admin to handle those, but in the end sounds both great games.

No, slither is developed by a different set of developers taking the concept from agar.io
It would be better to have separate domains for both the games as some people might like one over the other.

Also my idea behind proposing this is to propagate the word about bitcoin to as many new users as possible.
Since both are popular games they might eventually turn up into a great way of achieving bitcoins to newbies.

Thanks for the offer. I will think about it.
I have already sent a PM to chopcoin.io team in case they are interested to fork the game and start developing on their own.

Btw, can you send me some reliable programmers from Fiverr in PM whom you have worked with and succeeded in past?
Lets see if I can come up with something fruitful. :)

I've been playing agar.io for a while, then switched to chopcoin.io, and later switched to bubble.am. The last one is much faster, has more food, and has nothing* to do with Bitcoin. Chopcoin is too quiet to be a good game, and that hasn't changed since it started.
Recently, I have discovered slither.io, and since then I haven't touched agar anymore. And that brings me to this quote:

Since agar and slither are both popular games, we can promote bitcoin on a vast scale if we have something similar to slither.
I don't think Chopcoin.io has contributed to promote Bitcoin at all. This is not a complaint about Chopcoin, I think it's played by (a few) people who like Bitcoin already. Not by "new" people who have Chopcoin as their first Bitcoin experience.
For the same reason I don't think a Bitcoin-slither will contribute anything to promote Bitcoin.

If the original agar.io or slither.io games would start supporting a Bitcoin-game, it's a different story. That would reach a large group of people who have never used Bitcoin before. On top of that, it would instantly have a game with a large population of users.

*bubble.am offers to exchange "points" you collect for Bitcoins, but they didn't pay out.

How can using a bot help you ?

This is not the sort of game punkbuster create anti-cheat for and you should know that.

I have played that game. It is fun. It would be nice to have a faucet based game with micro transactions. Thought now bitcoin fees are so high it would kill that idea so a better one would be to use an altcoin or better yet the game uses it's own coin. You can have cheaper and more expensive games or even private ones. People could even vote and take bets and make wages for and against players. You would "buy in" when you begin playing by paying for each life and that would go to the pot and a certain % for the site.
