You can mine steem with EZsteem using vm and abuntu. Or you can use eobot and mine any currency using scrypt, sha256 or x11 and you get payout in whatever currency you prefer so pick steem and your account will increase you can then withdraw as you please. There is also a built in faucet.

When you create account you get private keys and addresses your address that you must send steem to is the second one from the top.
Also you can use eobot and it will create an address for you that you can use until you want to move it into your steem address on steemit.com
