2 main points. 1.) Aristotle is not hundreds and thousands of years old!
2.) He got the wrong idea about bitcoins being divisible by 8. It's 8 decimal places.. big difference.

Aristotle's definition of money is rather lame. It is also lame for Max Keyser to use it and it also lame for the radio show host to take it a a gospel.

Can someone help me to find that old presentation made by Gavin back in 2010. That presentation indeed contains a decent definition of money and description of essential properties of money.

If anything else Bitcoin is Platonic and anti-Aristotelian. That's why old goldbugs can't get it. They need sense perception (tangible) which is rather passe with 20-21st century science (mainly physics and computer science).

It is the first time in history (after general relativity, quantum mechanics and the software revolutions) that we have TECHNOLOGY based on the Platonian idea. Aristotelian deterministic Newtonian western civilization is history - some yet to catch up.. They will miss all the fun I suppose!

you know, in a funny way, Max doesn't understand Bitcoin.  you can tell when he tries to talk about the technical aspects of it.

but he has a good enough nose to smell something big.  he's operating from his gut.  and he will be right.

Indeed. But hey, who the hell actually can understand Bitcoin? Devs and a bunch of people on this forum to higher or lesser degree and a few would be opponents like Kaminski. So while some are nitpicking here, Max is a bitcoin millionare, lol, and a valuable and respected ally.
