Title: Who sold?
Post by: pekv2 on March 24, 2013, 01:44:16 PM
I sold back in january, at something like I believe 7 bucks?, got $159, if I held, I'd have $1500 now or more. Who else is kicking their self in the teeth?

Edit: I would have never thought 67 bucks atm. Someone said long time ago we'll see $100 a bitcoin, we're very close to 100. I should have listened.

I sold 5% of my bitcoins at $70, waiting another day or two to buy back. I don't usually trade on the exchanges but I like a little gamble now and then.

I'm sold out.

Think I made USD 2k overall. Could have made much more but I'm not complaining.
Now I can finally quit with the bullshit. Perhaps I even loose a few ignores.  :D

I spent 50 coins on two BFL Jalapenos back when price was around $6 = FAIL. But that was only 15% of the coins I have now = WIN.

What was it at? 14 bucks?

Cuz either I sold 23 bitcoins for 159 bucks or so, or I sold 12 bitcoins for 159.

Sold coins at 9 EUR to purchase upgrades for my computer. The computer failed after about 1 week while the upgrade hardware was still in transit (package was caught in storm Sandy). Now with the same coins I could purchase new high-end computer. I still not kicking myself because the price was like it was back then and the upgraded hardware is perfect. Although I cannot use it because the mainboard have died and now I'm using 10 years old computer.

It is just unlucky coincidence.

Sold at $22, made about $21,000, bought a new car. Had I waited and sold at $75, I would've made $130,000... Oh well.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, appreciated.

Ouch, still have all your teeth? I finally kicked my last one out, joking of course. Yea, I am trying to have no remorse and forgetting about it as well.

You seem to have a scammer tag. Should I judge you by that and say that there are probably people you should give the coin back to?

i dont think we should judge anybody. that tag only tells you a little bit about me. but you are correct, there are people i should give coins back to. and i will. that is one thing i will do with the coins.

I panic-sold a few dozen coins right after the blockchain fork, around $32 USD I think, right at the bottom of the dip.

Wait, what, BTC blockchain got forked, as this is bad ain't it? I've been out of the complete loop since december.

It was a huge deal, but the dev team solved it quickly and it ended up increasing overall confidence in Bitcoin.

Oh, wow, just recently too. Fantastic, one thing I learned, find a flaw, whether it be a single one person creating a fork, and patch it asap. People should thank this person for finding this flaw. It also not only created more confidence, it made BTC stronger than previously. Recall BTCExpress & litecoin fiasco?

Thank you, for the link BL.

Dumped around 1400 ~$4-5 about 18 months ago...

Hard to not think about the what ifs...  could be debt free, house paid for, car paid for...

Had about 27 coins sitting forever from mining. Sold when it got the highest previous post I has seen before, $17.

Bought 55 BTC at 47.50 and around $52, sold at $61.50 at that little dip. Got scared. Lesson Learned.

Fundamental fact: Market cannot be predicted, don't get hung up on a target price, instead think in ratios and percents.

Do not trade based on what you think will happen but what is actually happening. If price goes up 10% sell 5%. If price drops  even in a mini crash, do nothing!! When it stops falling, buy. If it drops more buy a little, if it drops even more, buy more.

If you are spooked keep half value in fiat and half in BTC, you will more often be wrong than right with your hunch so not selling all, will make you a lot of money.
