The site's receiving address was 1LGVk7yPaFhf9GJ8Kdfb9kqP6sNxy4DxVR which I posted as the send to address, but now it shows that $.38 went there and the rest (Over $500.00) went to 17CQ1dQXMmVTqfv3RKvZtsrHbXBgKFfCE6. I never entered this 2nd address and the site I sent to says it's not their's. This was generated in Electrum so has someone stolen my money from there the same time I sent out my payment? How can I find out who the 2nd address belongs to and get my funds back into Electrum. I should have not gone with Electrum as they provide no support. Most likely you only send 0.0007 to your target address. However, the remaining coins will go to a new address generated automatically by Electrum.
Try to refresh you balance in Electrum and most likely it is still in your wallet but in a difference address. Well..you can never find that out unless someone has posted it somewhere.As I cross-checked with wallet explorer,no more addresses were found as part of the same wallet.I'm afraid you're not getting those coins back if in the worst case scenario your computer is being infected with a malware which auto copies a address as a string from the clipboard and replace it with the hackers bitcoin address.I can be completely wrong,maybe you should wait for expert opinions. |
