Looking at the odds of winning or hitting the jackpot, sports betting compared to lottery is it a simple straight forward answer to which one is better?

In sports betting, your chances are much higher to be profitable. You will not win as much as on lottery (okay depends on the risk and odds), and you can better manage your wins and losses. Both is important to be able to be profitable. Lottery is just luck imho.

I will lottery because in sports betting odds are lowers and turn out will not be that huge. If you play lottery all depends on luck but you can hit jackpot which can change your life. If you can afford then go with both this way you can make money for lottery tickets from sports betting winnings. I am playing every type of gambling who knows when luck wakes up and work for me.

The simple and straight forward answer is sports betting is the better one, in lottery we have very low chance to win, but with sports betting we can make a lot of profit if we are wise with our pick, some people are making very good income just using their knowledge.

I think sport betting is better, you can control the game that you want to bet, plus you can do a thorough analysis before you bet in the game which giving you a huge advantage to win the game, and then sport betting has a better winning chance than lottery

Lottery can make your rich if you hit it. Chances to hit it are almost 0. In sports betting I usually don't play but today I copied a bet slip from someone who was saying he had high confidence in these 2 games so I copied their bet slip in an attempt to double my money in order to have more money to play slots afterwards. I know sooner or later I will hit the jackpot. For me sports is better as lottery needs a ton of luck.

I think that sports betting isn't all luck as sometimes skill can be applied. With a lottery it isn't really as exciting as sportsbetting, you can't watch a match and see what happens. I prefer sports betting because I can apply skill and make some profit on certain occasions.

With sports betting you will have a guide coming from sports analyst and there's history and stats while lottery there simply is no formula, strategy or any sort of tips coming from those who tries to analyze the results of a lottery. More chance of winning in sports betting than lottery.

for me possibility to win the jackpot are pretty small and in all entire my life i was never hit the jackpot in lottery or gambling but in sport betting if i could predict and analysis the particular matches i could possible to win my bets and also my bets results from sport betting are much better than other games so i would like to say that sport betting is more better than lottery

answering you mate i will be with sports betting much small odds much more chances to win, unlike to lottery pure luck and chances is next to impossible especially if there's a lots playing with you. so sports bet will be my choice buddy.

I will say sports betting because you can have many winning in small amount. You need little money and can enhance your chances by going for toto-parlay of 2-10 matches. This thing depends on your will and choice how much risk you are willing to take. Whereas lottery is long term investment where extra luck need to win jackpot. Sports betting is a fun and money in same time.

sportsbetting is for me, you can use your skill for it so you can win unlike in lottery you will only rely on luck, tho the prize in lottery is ofcourse way bigger than you can win in sports bets

Sports betting vs Lottery? Too different games to compare, unless you talk about parlay game with so high odds or at least close/equal to odds on lottery game.
In case of single bet on sports vs lottery, of course sports betting is much more better. It is all about preferences, some people may prefer sports betting while others may prefer to play lottery.

It is true. Lottery winnings fully depend on only luck and winning chances are very less because millions of tickets will be sold and winners will be only a few. So one should be very lucky to win money from lottery but in sports, we need some luck and some game knowledge and winning chances in sports betting is more so I prefer sports betting compared to the lottery.

If you live in populated areas then it is harder to win the lottery but the payout is huge from alot more people buying tickets for their chance to win.

It's not about the number of people joining the lottery, less people buying the tickets doesn't mean you have more chances of winning, the odds of winning a lottery is very small because of the number of winning combinations. You might have mistaken the lottery and raffle.

Lotteries are a joke to me.  I don't bet on sports,  but I would think you'd have so much more fun doing that than playing numbers or scratching off a ticket.  I just don't trust lotteries either.  Anything can be rigged (even sports).

I would go for sport betting as better though both have their risks involved and it might turn anytime. Lottery is kind of too slim imagine a lottery of like 8000 tickets and youve got just 46 tickets whats the chance of winning but in my own opinion sport betting is better as your chance is increased but not of certainty though...

Lotteries are just all about luck because it have very low chance of winning. But the prizes are very huge and it could change our life. I buy lottery tickets time to time but I like sports betting much because of winning chance. Sports betting is more loved format of gambling.

I do prefer Sports betting because its 50-50 chance that you win and a lot of prediction who will win. But in lottery you should have to be lucky and have a exact number to win. Yes, it is highly insane to compare these two type of gambling. Lotteries are known for pure luck whereas with sports gambling you can apply your knowledge like no other gambling has some possibility of playing with luck and knowledge.

Sports betting for me better to do to those who understand about all matches are put and it is not suitable to those who do not like against sports or don't like with a fairly detailed research. To win a bet in sports is way higher compared to a lotterey.
For instance in my country the chance to win the jackpot is 1:146million!! That's insane and only the dumb ones play lottery on a regular basis.

first of all, finding a legitimate lottery game is hard because you can never be sure if they did it right or even give the rewards or are they going to run away. and history shown that they have not be honest enough and certainly never popular.

second of all if the lottery prize is big  then the chance of winning it is so tiny that you will never win. it is like making a dice bet with a 9999x multiplier.

lottery will need luck on every number which is out. we hope that only our number will be out but its not our number. in sportbetting, if we know what team that will battle and we know the history about that team, then we have a chance to win and we can also make predictions about two team. the sportbetting chance is high than lottery.

Like most of the people here, my choice is also sports betting. First cause I like to watch and follow sport games, higher chances for win, and its not always luck, if you know teams, players, their condition you have more chances to predict outcome. With lottery its completely different story, depending from how much numbers lottery have and how many possible combinations we can see chances for winning in lottery are less then 0.001 %. More people, even less chances for winning.

You can analyse which side to pick for sports betting and odds is not that bad. In lottery, the house edge is bigger and it is almost impossible to win the jackpot.

i'm always loss in lottery, i don't know what happened, i think sports betting is suitable for me, because in sports betting you can predict before the game started and therefore increased chance to win.

It depends on how much you've bet on lottery or how much the payout offers, but in the end you'll lose your money slowly if you depend on lottery only.

I think lottery is totally luck based and no strategy can be helpful in it but in sports betting if you follow certain sport and if you are ready with certain strategy then you can make some profits.

I would say sports betting is the better choice(you won't have to completely rely on your luck), you won't win big like lottery though but you should be fine on the long-run.

There is huge difference between sports betting and lottery , in sports betting your winning chance is much better than lottery .
In lottery your chance to win is like 1/100k or 1/1 m , while in sports betting your winning chance might reach 90% depending on the odds .

And as most people here have already said, Sports Betting does give you way better odds than Lottery. Though you'd have to spend more time, effort and Time again. Yes, correct. I never bought a lottery to try my luck so for but what I know is very less chance to win a big lottery. If anyone wins means it is usually quite a big amount. In sports betting I made a good amount from cricket games, but the odds are very less and also I always bet small amount so earnings are usually less from sports betting.

Its depend on the individual,  for me sport betting is better because i like to watch and follow the sport i bet especially soccer and tennis, so i get better chance in winning, but if the person doesnt follow any sport then betting in sport betting is the same with guessing the winner blindfold, but in lottery you dont need to do anything, just buy the lottery sit back and hope to win

I like to gamble very much and one of gambling games I like very much is sports betting, but I don`t like lotteries and similar things. That is pure luck, there is no space for thinking or playing or having fun in one word. I don`t know can you can compare something like sports betting with playing lotteries, that are two different worlds.

Sports betting has a higher chance of winning since  it has 50/50 chance i guess compared to Lottery  which have 0.00001% chance of winning. They may differ in price since  jackpot on lottery would able to change your life directly but dont hope too much , it all matters in luck. i would always choose sports betting over lottery. because in my experience i will never win a lottery and i have tried it before in my life.

i agree, lottery is for person who are very lucky. and im always not contented to the result of it because it can be modified the result of the game. unlike sports betting. the decision is in yourself prediction. But the selection of the types of gambling on what is the best is a case to case basis for me. for example in lottery, if the number of participants is very limited the winning chance is high, maybe i will choose lottery because its jackpot prize is much higher than sports betting that usually x2 odds or if you choose higher odds, the probability to win is very small.  8)

The lottery is a just random investment, and you will win, your lottery else you should keep on buy your tickets until you win. So this is very long process and also waste of money.

I preferred sports betting over Lottery because I have backgrounds and my hobby of watching some sports like baskteball, MMA and soccer, also I'm into e-sports especially Dota 2. I would rate Sports betting as first and Poker as Second . As the odds gets bigger and bigger , the win probability gets lower and lower and only the luckiest ones win .

If you are looking the odds for winning , then i think you will be in loss in long term, but if you want to be in profit in long term, then Sports betting is the best as the odds are small but the winning is more chances and on long term if you check your bankroll you will be in profit more then in lottery.

The answer is obvious. Yes both needs luck but lottery is purely on luck. No way you can analyze it since all you have to do is watched the generated result.
