there are plenty good players from various countries in this tournament but my thought indonesian players and China players

I dont think Indonesian players can dominate this year, only few good players have the chance to get gold medal especially from Men Double (Ahsan-Hendra) and Mixed Double (Butet-Tantowi). But based on their performances this year, it will be very hard for them to compete. Their performances are dropping down recently, but I hope they can do their best for Indonesia.

Hard to understand what you are saying about, even though Lin dan is an old player but he is still the main competitor for Lee Chong Wei and Chen Long to get the gold medal. It is too early to say that Chong Wei will fight against Chen Long on Final match.

Man double is gone, Ahsan and Hendra just got their 2nd lost on the group stage means that they will go home earlier. As what I said before, almost all Indonesian players are not in good performances this year. In this case, Ahsan and Hendra played so bad under their best performance. Perhaps, age factor is main problem as Hendra is 31years old already. They made so many unforce errors last two matches which make them lost.

On other hand, mixed double has the best chance to get a medal from this Olympics. Hope Praveen & Deby who won the last All England championship, can win a gold medal on this Olympics event.

Unfortunately, Indian girl Sindhu lost the match in finals and got a silver medal in woman singles. The match was a superb, it last for almost 90 minutes.  Indian girl won the first set but in the second and third set she gave a good fight but world number one player Carolina Marin won the last two sets. Yes, China has lost women singles medal also and now men's individual medal. In this Olympics, they didn't do that great in badminton. But in this final Lee Chong-Wei has put a lot of efforts to beat chain.

It will go to lee chong wei as I see because chen long playing is not clean enough to win from lee chong wei, although chen long have good range because of his leg and his hand is long to get the ball but if he doesnt play clean I dont think he have a chance and for lee chong wei which have a good defense and good reflex and he is more experience too that make he calm enough to settle this game

In case nobody know , Malaysia have never win any gold medal in Olympic game history. For the first time ever , they had 3 chance in badminton event but they already failed 2 times , this is the last chance for them. Chen Long is young and his physical strength is stronger but Chong Wei have more experience in olympic badminton final , he been there two times. I'm not a Malaysian fans but i still hope the best for them to break their own record.

This match already finished yesterday and Malaysian player Lee Chong Wei already won gold medal and China got silver. This match was very close game and until last minute both had equal chances to win but CHong Wei lucky to win this game.

In woman's final Carolina Marin got the gold and Indian player Shindu got silver medal.

Women's single Final match b/w India vs. Spain. I was very disappointed, Sindhu played superbly and won the first set, I thought she must win a gold medal, but she lost her second set with bit high score. In final set, it was neck to neck points in the end the world number one player Carolina Marin finally won the gold medal. I congrats both of them, they deserve this Gold and silver medals.

Chong Wei are just too nervous , too afraid of losing , look like his worst nightmare came to true again. I can't believe he lost this final in straight set. But to be fair , Chen Long play a world class badminton , he have nothing to lose , he hold his nerve and he deserved the gold glory.

I did not watch the game, but from the final score 21-18 21-18 it seems that the game was so tight. Maybe Chong was so tired because he need to play 3 sets against Lin Dan on Semi-Finals. It was hard match for him and he lost his stamina already. While on other hand, Chen Long went to Final easier against Axelsen.

Amazing tight match actually, it was fucking nervous in every set, ii support Lee, although he failed, he is still the champion in my heart.

Looks like one of my predictions was right, Chen Long did beat Lee Chong Wei! However, Lin Dan lost, which is upsetting for me, since I thought he could win for sure. On the other hand, Victor Axelsen looks promising and I'll watch him in the future to see what he can do.

Yes, this match was superb to watch, and I thought match might go the 3rd set play, but somehow Chen Long made use of Chong Wei nervous and managed to win the game in two straight sets. I expected match can go either way so didn't bet on this game but enjoyed the complete game.

Sorry guys, I confused with semifinal match. I thought it was a final match because immediately after that there was a women's single final match was there so I thought man also was final.

But in finals he has lost the game. I didn't watch this finals but it looks china won with two strait sets win.

The next superseries badminton tournament is YONEX Open Japan 2016 , start on 20 September until 25 September. And just 2 day after the last super series end , there gonna be another super series in south korea too. Two tied super series schedule , should be a exciting game but less exciting compare to this olympic game. Still need to wait another four years for olympic game again.

It was nice entertainment in Rio 2016. And waiting for next series, this is good information, so we have to wait for one month for next series. I think In India also one more badminton tournament is going on, But I am not sure when it is going to start it may be this month or coming month. The news is Sure.

Indonesia man double,  HendraSetiawan/M.Ahsan is getting worse and worse. They play too slow, no spirit.  I think Indonesia should make a change.  Give the younger player to play. They last match is lost by Chinese double in semi final Japan Open.

This is the last match for them since they will be separated and will have new partner. Seems that their combination is not great anymore so they need to be mixed with other younger players.

Hong kong open . Great match , Cheung took the first set very easily and then Nehwal made a good comeback in the second set but finally in an epic third set Nehwal lost to Cheung . I was hoping for Nehwal ( India ) vs Sindu ( India ) in semi finals but now since Cheung beat Nehwal , she will be facing Sindu and my bet is on Sindu :)

India is in a golden era, especially in single women. Saina Nehwal once became a number 1 in BWF rank and have a really good prestation.

I didn't know that badminton has proffessional sports league

There is no international leagues for badminton, there are many international tournaments held every year. Most interesting tournaments are Super Series, All England, and World Championship.
Nowadays Badminton is not only dominated by some countries like in the past where Indonesia and China dominated almost in all categories. Now there are Denmark, Malysia, Korea, and other countries has so great players which make the tournaments much more entertaining.

I waned to bet on the Badminton Superseries tournament and I'm disappointed that none of the bitcoin sportsbook have any markets for Carolina Marin vs P.V.Sindhu match. I searched through Nitrogen, Cloudbet, Directbet(Doesnt even have badminton section). I found the game on sportsbet but they dont have any markets for the match currently. It is the freggin Superseries and no Sportsbook has the games in it! So sad.

Badminton is popular enough. It is a Olympic sport and has Super Series all across Asia and Europe. There hasnt been much of a badminton swing in the American Continent but other than that a lot of countries play badminton especially in Asia which is a dominant continent for the sport.
