Title: Sent coins to expired Mt. Gox address from wallet. What can I do?
Post by: 987mining on March 25, 2013, 03:42:11 AM
I wanted to sell a few coins through Mt. Gox and sent them to my account using the address I used yesterday. I treated it like a bank account number that doesn't change. When the coins didn't show up, I checked and noticed the address is different.

My wallet shows the transaction as 2/Unconfirmed. What can I do?

I read that every 10 min the number increases, and at 6 (1 hour) its impossible to reverse. Is that true?

Thanks very much for your help guys!

Contact Mt. Gox.

Don't worry too much, they control their addresses so they might be able to solve this.

You can send money to Gox with old deposit addresses.

Your money will be there after 6 confirmations, chill bro!

Thanks man. I'm hoping so!

I just looked up the Mt. Gox wallet address on blockchain and the map shows some random location in Germany!

Will keep checking my Mt. Gox account.

I need to be way more careful..
