I recently installed an Electrum wallet. In trying to access it, I discovered that I have misplaced my password. I have the private keys recorded but for some reason, the password wasn't with them. How can I re-access my btc?

If you have no password you are screwed up, try to remember it very hard! Do you remember anything about it like 1 or even more letters? if yes you can try to brutforce it, just wait more experienced members will explain on how to do it!

If he has the private keys, then he isn't screwed.  As far as "password" do you mean the seed list of words? 

He can import the keys, and then send them to a new address created in a wallet he has the word list for.

I have the seed words. Honestly, I don'r even remember it asking me to set up a password initially. I only discovered this when went to move some of my btc and it asked me for a password.

With the seed words, you can restore your wallet. Just make a new wallet and choose the option to restore a wallet.

I like the Electrum wallet. Do I delete the existing wallet, reinstall it and then restore using the seed words?

No, there is no need to reinstall anything.

Start Electrum. Then go to File > New/Restore. Name your wallet, click OK and then the wallet creation wizard should pop up. Choose the option to "Restore a wallet or import keys". Then follow the rest of the instructions in the wizard.

Yes, as long as you have the seed words, you are fine.

Many ppl are confusing seed words with password!

And NO password is not used in creation of master wallet private key! you can lose the password but you cent not lose the seed words, also if you make a backup of passworded wallet then you must know password to unlock it

My only problem is my handwritten style I hope I manage to read it fine from few tries ;)

Is there a way to change your wallet seed if you wish to?

You cannot ever change the wallet seed and keep the addresses associated with the wallet. The addresses are generated from your private key, so they are always linked to eachother.

The only way and most easy way, is to simply create a new wallet with a new seed in the client. Next you simply send the coins over from your old wallet to your new one and you are good to go.

Don't throw out the old wallet though, there is always a slight chance someone has you old addresses in their contacts and may accidentally send to one of those addresses. Just keep the seed to always have the possibility to access it.
