I see crypto as a possible solution to the crooks in the world banking system.  Anything I can do to avoid using them is fine in my book.

I must say I was impressed with the ordering process.
So far, this is my first interaction, but the experience has been very positive.

This was way smoother than getting a Nexus 4 and I believe the interest was just as fervent (among certain internet sub-communities).

I ordered one with PSU - didnt tought much of that just wanted to finalize as fast as possible. Now I read that its less problems with customs without PSU.
You guys think it will be big problem to cancel PSU on my order ?

yes, at that price and with no notice i'm surprised too.  i had even decided not to get one when the price leaked a few days ago but couldn't control myself.  having your cash a few clicks away might not be a benefit of bitcoin, lol

I ordered 3 but was unable to get to my wallet in the 15 minute period. My order status is on-hold and there isn't an option to send coins again :(

I hope I can resend them and finalize my order somehow.

Hey Kook,

Can you post a link or screen shot of the fine print stating customs issues?  I too blazed through the check and thought having the PSU pre-installed would just make the whole process simpler/smoother.

My guess is that it won't be too big a deal, as all the prior batches have had PSUs so I can't imagine it would be too much of an impediment.

I received confirmation email right away.  Did you create an account at checkout?  I also received an account creation email at the same time.  Check your spam maybe.

Did you get a payment confirmation? An order #? What does your account say at the Avalon store? Bitpay is the premier payment processor, nearly anyone that's used BTC has used them.

So first its said they are out, someone said 10 left and now its still running? The more im wondering about my order-id. I have 7341. The first batch had 300 and the next both 600. Thats under 1000. So how comes this crazy ordernumber? I wonder if something went wrong there and more are sold then the 600.

Because people add units to their cart without ever paying and it creates a pending order.

But in such high numbers? I dont know. Or did they sell other things before?

I could finally order one! Ufff ... what a journey .. even got scammed for $2050 while desperately trying to collect BTC in short notice. Fight is on to recover that, but chances are slim.

EDIT: 87 left in stock. Looks like the stiff price scared some people, even after they launched the units with a 20% discount (initially they were intended to cost 90BTC). That discount made me jump in with a pool of investors, can't wait to start hashing with one of these ;)

Wonder if they do direct wire tranfer! im coordinating a buy but i dunt think ill make it if i have to deal with btc deposit limits..  coinbase wants verification of 30days,  bit instant has a limit too i think . errrr  gotta wait till a few hours anyway for the last 2k anyway but once i have it in my acc.. still got hurdles!

I think the Chinese buyers can use wire transfer, sure HorseRider posted he did it that way. The rest of the world is BTC only, I'm in the same boat have the money to buy one.

It will be my third mining investment attempt (first was Dishwara, total disaster... but Dishwara was honorable and returned all the BTC!, second was with YochDog, where we unfortunately jumped the gun and bought lots of BFL :/ still waiting on those though... in case it works, I will own two different ASIC!)

Bitpay rox. Coinbase screwed me by delaying a payment to bitcoinstore by over an hour. ::) Bitcoinstore and bitpay patched it all up in short order even though neither of them were at fault. Kewl that Avalon tried to toss some business to the lesser known payment processors, but I'm glad they went with bitpay this time around, the difference was night and day.

can some one start a list of all Avalon batch 3 buyer and order number and date paid ?

If you want to know the order i think the ordernumber should represent this relatively close.

65Gh Avalon will earn just around 30 BTC in whole month june. Next month will be much harder, maybe just 15 BTC and so on..., it might be really hard to produce 75B back.

It is an estimation - certainly a good back of the envelop calculation, but lot of assumptions. It is upto you how you take those assumptions.

Thats sucks! Unbelievably! Its hard enough just trying to coordinate getting cash together from multiple sources only to meet a brick wall and 1k daily deposit limits and what not! Bit FAIL!!  

If anyone can tell me a the fastest way to move USD from a US bank to BTC so i can pony up.. Is there no same day service.. for $6k to btc !!







 





 

  

I'm "lucky" to live in PL and have same bank as BTC market bitcurex. Money goes each way in less an hour every part of day :)
But not going to buy, it's not worth it imho. Avalon was considering producing one batch for themselves and now they sell it on edge of roi.

i shouldn't tell you this, but...  get 2 friends to use bitinstant when you use it, each person submits 4 orders for $495, $494, $493, $492.  and so do you... send the payment to your bitcoin address, walk your friends into a moneygram location, hand them the cash, hand them the red phone, hand them the bitinstant printouts... then walk them to the counter, etc.   I can't say that I would ever do something of that nature.... muhahaha.... but sometimes you need more than 2k in a day, if you know what I mean.

oh yeah.. when the moneygram cashier pulls up the list of bill pay , you need to tell the cashier to look at the 4 numbers at the end of each item in the list, because they will need to choose the entry with the same last 4 digits as the account number on the bitinstant paper.

Wait a minute.. when you guys say Chinese can wire transfer you mean people in china right!

Cause i got alot of Chinese homies i can ring up! lulz..

I think as it like this,

Lets say there will ever be 21m kg of gold, now you can mine 1kg of gold every day you wouldn,t care about the fiat price against it becourse you know in the end everybody wants your kg of gold.

Well, it's also true that you just spent 76 kg of gold in purchasing a 65GHs Avalon ;)
