Locked into the "Newbie" area, I don't have the ability to submit this to the already-existing thread, but here goes anyhow...

I've been using the Miner Stats sidebar gadget from http://www.bitshift.io/minerstats/, but even though it supposedly has support for Eligius and using my bitcoin address for the API Key, all I get is, "Error when connecting to http://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/pool/hashrate.txt"

Since I can access that page fine and get the result, I'm guessing it's an issue with the app.  Stats for BTCGuild and others seem to be fine.

Unfortunately, if the code runs into ANY issue, it seems to just show that.  If I can't see the current exchange rate for BTCs or the pool's hash rate, it's not the end of the world... I like keeping an eye on balances and hashrates from a widget rather than loading up a browser each time, but I'm pretty much stuck at the moment.

Anyone know if this is a known issue, if there's a workaround, or suggestions for a better alternative (aside from switching pools  ;))?

i have the same problem with Slush pool for the API key..

I notice the Error has:
Error when connecting to http://mining.bitcoin.cz/accounts/profile/json/My key

and my Link is:
https://mining.bitcoin.cz/accounts/profile/json/My key

think the program(gadget) need HTTPS not HTTP  ??
