A good one I've been using is this ethereum wallet (http://ethereum-wallet.net). Got about 400 ETH invested and making bank.

I'm also using it, much better than the GUI wallet which take too much time to sync because of ETH ever increasing blockchain size.

The best option is a cold storage like Bitadress.org (for bitcoin) but to store ETH....

- ETHAdress; https://ryepdx.github.io/ethaddress.org/#/

You can use a friendly user wallet to like JAXX, this wallet never share private keys with online servers

- JAXX Wallet: https://jaxx.io/

Finally the official Ethereum storage option is MyEtherWallet one:

- Myetherwallet: https://www.myetherwallet.com/

Obs: a nice ideia to safe store coins is hardware wallets like Trezor, LedgerNano and keepkey.

Jaxx is user friendly but I would recommend myetherwallet only because it is very secure. Just be sure to backup your json file in multiple places and bookmark the site. Don't fall for all the phishing scams regarding wallets is your top priority. There are many out there.

There are many choices like Myetherwallet, Metamask, Parity (yeah, no irony),...
But my personal favorite is Myetherwallet. You can create your wallet and save your private keys into JSON file which you can store on a offline device (USB,...) or write your private keys onto paper and create a paper wallet.

But Myetherwallet still have the risk about security our wallet, if your PC have keylog (virus), hacker can get your private key from excel file, cookie or txt file ... and send all token from this wallet. So, I think MEW (Myetherwallet) need provide 2FA for user using their wallet if want not have any situation as my tell.

Yes they are pretty good to store both ETH and ETH based tokens but there has been several phising sites for myetherwallet and many have lost their ETH due to it.

So better way to store ETH is to use mobile or desktop wallet like Jaxx which make storing multiple coins along with ethereum easy and secure.

The phishing sites are too much in Skype and Slack so be careful while using it. Always double check the domain name and the links before uploading your private key file.
Myetherwallet is best because it can store all the tokens.

I'm not sure why you revived this year old dead thread but cold storage isn't generally what the majority of people use ethereum for.

MyEtherWallet is the most user friendly for regular transactions and Parity has some advanced features that make it great for investing in ICO.

Sure there are many scam sites which resembles myetherwallet which will hijack your money and private keys and make sure you enter the right website before doing anything,in my personal experience i think it is the best wallet out there for ETH and their tokens and it is pretty easy to manage.

I know something that I think it is safe because I use it on my ethereum and until now there is nothing suspicious happenings to my ethereum. That is myetherwallet.com, you will just search it on your browser and register an account,I know that there is an app on it but I didn't downloaded it because there is no more space in my phone but It is more useable than any other coins. I know ther is a lot more coins out there where you will put your ether at but I highly recommend you this because this is tried and tested by me and my friends.

Another reminder to watch for phishing scams on myetherwallet, but those top 3 mentioned are all good. Another tip: Have multiple secure wallets!

the best wallet that works best for me is myetherwallet and jaxx because i used that two wallet and i am really satisfied with both. but i am more prefer with jaxx because i can control directly the amount of the coins and i can look into my account without having to open the browser. so far, i am selected jaxx for saving altcoin.

This is the best ETH wallet for me too. I've been using this about for a year already and I don't have any problems with it. And when it comes to tokens, t's already identifying automatically what token you have received. Also just redirect and type MEW directly URL and don't just click any MEW url when you want to visit the site.

In my experience used ethereum's wallet the best ethereum wallet is https://www.myetherwallet.com/ it is simple, easy to be used and we have the private key of ethereum, myetherwallet support for buying the ICOs projects be builded on ethereum's platform also myetherwallet can be used for sending ethereum classic too, if we have the private key of ethereum classic.

My ether wallet is simple and really good, if you are worry about safety issues, you can download offline version of the website and run it on air-gapped computer
