Title: Lost ETH
Post by: zektera on August 11, 2016, 11:15:16 PM
Last night I attempted to send the ETH I had on Poloniex to my Ethereum Wallet. It sent to the correct address, but it never showed up in my wallet. Etherscan says that my account does have the ETH in it.

When I was downloading my wallet, I had a bit of confusion about whether to click yes or no in regards to the fork. I clicked yes initially, then changed my drop down menu to not support the fork. Does that mean my wallet only would accept ETC? Did I send my ether into the ether, is it totally lost? Any way to recover it?

dont worry, your eth is safe,

just delete the chain data directory and click support dao. let it resync and your funds will be in the account,

make sure you do not delete your keystore folder with your account in it, make sure to back the keystore up.

You did not lose the ETH, you are just using the ETC chain, change to "Yes" and it will redirect you to the forked chain.
