There is now no way anyone can say "your deposits are safe" in the EU and that has to force people to start looking to PMs and Bitcoin.

Admittedly the false optimism is the exception rather than the rule now but personally I find it amusing to note the one or two die-hard commercial news companies who still try to spin the "EU saved, everything is fine" line.
