The lawmakers attempting to create their own form of the New York BitLicense with Bill AB-1326. The legislation will remain untouched until next year, when authorities may revisit the Bill and try to introduce it again.

New York must have lost out on the tax revenue it could have collected from the Bitcoin related businesses that closed, or moved elsewhere when it introduced its bit-license. The other US states might realise they will make more money without a bit-license than with one.

I am going to stay tuned to see what comes next. I’ve tried to stay up to date with any laws that are being put into effect that have to do with bitcoin.
