ETC chart looks very bad. Rebounds are weak and the price keeps going lower and lower day by day. I predict that we need to see a huge downtrend before we see the bottom for ETC. ETC could go below 0.002.

It is difficult to predict the ETC price. We need to know the intentions of the Ethereum Foundation and some big holders of the ETC. If they dump, the price will be lower.

ETC is more of a fundamental trade at the moment. Since the hacker will have access to funds on Aug 31, and he might dump everything at once.

Both ETC and ETH are an "avoid". There are still many things to patch and fix before we could invest in them with full confidence. After the hard fork and the emergence of support for the original chain, we do not know what will happen because both chains are now competing with each other. But for me ETH is likely more to be abandoned. No one has confidence in Vitalik and the Ethereum foundation anymore. Once they leave no one is willing to take over a corrupted chain.

ETC Testing prior resistance, broke minor resistance and it might become support if the blue resistance holds.

Finally some momentum in the last day or so in the markets. Since its August there is very little volume. We might see a temporarily reversal on both ETH/ETC pairs and go long.

I speculate that the "strong support" of ETH will break sooner or later. BTC is rising again and if ETH fiat price stays the same it will go down in value against bitcoin. People are starting to dump their altcoins to hold bitcoin again.

ETH and ETC didn't move much in the last few hours, all eyes were on XMR.

XMR failed to close higher, looking bearish.

Looks like a great short at the bear flag into the supply zone.

ETH broke major support and now its a bear flag into supply. If BTC strength continues then it will go down for sure.

Haven't posted in a while because its pretty choppy on low volume. Everybody is waiting next week for DEVCON 2.

Well it looks like it has broken the resistance. So where will this go next, back to 300k satoshis or will this be going in a range for some time?

Unzoom your chart my friend, something can't be a "strong" support on a 6H timeframe  :D

Adaseb, can you do a quick analysis on ETC? I am looking to go into it for the long term and I would want to know at what price is a good entry point. This will be my first long term cryptocurrency ever outside of Bitcoin so I would like to know if now is the best time to enter. 

The ETC does not have active developments at the moment. It just copies code form Etheruem. It will have the same problem the ETH is experiencing.

They are capable. IMO

But it seems the ETH ones are more capable. ETH price is really high now.
