On the plus side, your markup is a little more competitive than theirs.  [//EDIT:  And looking at the other comments in the thread, it's probably a case of "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".  The site linked in the OP looks deeply suspicious on closer inspection, tread carefully.]  Either way, it looks like I can definitely delete coinerz.com from my bookmarks.  Never used them, but their markup is obscene.  Right now they're asking the equivalent of $718 USD for a single bitcoin, heh.  Both this service and Bitcoin.com blow that out of the water.

Hosting and server purchased today through Namecheap, probably over a proxy connection, probably paid for with Bitcoin, probably gave a fake name and address, and they probably used an email account they signed up for and access similarly through proxy.

Also, no FAQ, no contact, no support, hastily designed website with no authorship, no company information present, unlawfully asking for credit card payment details over a non-secure connection, with no legally required TOS nor Privacy Policy.

Lastly, no government licensing/registration financial services info.

All the red flags for a scam are present.

Well spotted, seems I only gave it a cursory glance and wasn't looking closely enough.  In my eagerness for everyone to stop leaving all their damn money on exchanges, I must be losing my skeptic's edge when it comes to any alternatives like this.  If this is a legitimate business, it needs some serious polishing to bring it up to an acceptable standard.  As always in this space, buyers beware.

They even don't have secure connection as well as now its quite clear they are hiding their personal info which shows they are only here to steal credit card details. Better not to enter any of your details there, don't buy from this service.

guys, all red flag of scam are present, be safety and use more secure method for buy bitcoins (like localbitcoins of trusted seller of bitcointalk)

Did not know that bitcoin.com existed but will want to know their rate per coin before going there. Unless you ment that THEY are charging $718 per coin and not coinerz.com

Smell scammy site trying to get real information and credit info low quality site many error your receive.
So beware guys this site is trying to get all your information.. and use for scamming purposes.

After pressing buy they actually redirected me to a page saying :

Also footer is still demo theme with lorem ipsum text.

Well for me i think they are right better to beware about the site because if you notice the site still not yet finished and under construction..
There is no business online that you publish first before you fix the issue..
And you need to have a trust flow before your site become trusted for people.. Check seo guidelines..

Yes because that is why you never put your money into a site that is not fully finished. They have holes in their site thus security issues.

As of now on bitcoin.com, it's $594.44 USD for 1 BTC.  There are probably others too, but it's not something you generally hear about very often.

No, definitely coinerz.com with the extortionate rates, heh.  Bitcoin.com seems fairly reasonable by the look of it, not to mention far more trustworthy than the "service" in the OP.  Although someone did complain about it already:


Maybe it'll just take some time before buying Bitcoin by card becomes a fully viable option for everyone.

a site that sell bitcoin can't even afford to buy SSL,1 year domain registration,bad website developing,whois protection,and no need to upload documents to get verified
I hope OP if really want to start a business atleast prepare all the security for the sake of your clients

DooMAD brought up a very valid point that I did not think off hand.
When they charge your credit card the merchant usually charges a "handling fee" on top of what you are charged for. I know for a fact that the banks have these hidden fees that they do allow from these merchants. I have been encountered with these charges once too many times in the past and they can be between $5-10 on top of what ever you paid for. So be wary when dealing with money from these credit card merchants.

And on top of that, for anyone outside of the US (myself included), if it's charged to your card in dollars, your bank or card provider may charge an exchange fee to convert it to your local currency.  Should only be a small amount, but it's yet another thing to bear in mind.

if the site is a new and not yet have a good rep, then i would not to buy with them. only a good site with good rep i will buy. because i've get many experience from my friends that they get stolen on their credit cards even they don't used it to buy something in store online. maybe i will wait for a month to know is this a good site or not. beside that, i am personally don't use credit cards  ;D

Looks absolutely insecure. Won't change cex.io to this one, especially when they lowered fees for card payments and upgraded pci dss sertificate to a higher level.
I personally need nothing more when it comes to buying btc using mastercard.

Site is very simple without any information about the site owners and how it works and their is no legal terms and conditions. It is very clearly seen that you are here to just scam on the basis of giving low rate on purchase from market.

Yes those exchange rate fees are much more and worst than the other fees that they charge. They will find anyway to squeeze as much out of you as they can for any transactions you do using a credit card since they get charged from the card companies themselves so they wish to recoup that loss anyway they can! >:(

They take only a 5% fee. How can that cover the fees by the Credit Card Payment gateway?

Doesn't look like the OP is coming back, which only adds to the suspicious nature of it all.  No attempt has been made to address any of the concerns raised and that's not how you run a business.

Best case scenario, this was a failed attempt at a legitimate service because they don't have the knowledge or technical skills required to do it correctly and legally.  Worst case scenario is simply an outright scam.  In either event, no one should be putting any payment details in.  Avoid.

I really don't know what the fuss is all about. You can buy bitcoins on coinbase, localbitcoins, paxful... with your credit card, lots of legit exchanges have this option.

There is still the hassle of verification, selfies when buying with credit cards. These kind of verification is only for bitcoins. You don't see that for Amazon purchases, Kmart purchase..etc
