Title: Buying an Avalon with no previous experience of mining?
Post by: qukkM on March 26, 2013, 07:51:47 PM
Is this a bad idea?

I have the BTC available to purchase one but I am put off by the notice that it is not newbie friendly. I guess I have some time to learn before it is delivered but I also dont want to end up with a 75BTC investment I cannot use.

Thoughts? Any avalon owners care to say what set up and connection to a mining pool requires?

I seriously recommend that you give mining a try with what you have before you take the plunge. You may find out that it isn't what you thought it was. I don't mine because I already have a job and there are better ways to spend my free time.
