Title: Is the wallet backup encrypted? Post by: wingding on March 27, 2013, 04:37:31 PM I use Bitcoin qt wallet v6.beta. I have encrypted with a word phrase i cosider safe. But what abot the backup? Is that .dat file also encrypted with the same phrase? And if so, can i keep this at a less safe place, like dropbox. How hard is it to crack a 9 word phrase?
