Title: How much do accounts cost?
Post by: Swagtoshi on August 26, 2016, 05:06:14 PM
I'm thinking about giving loans out to people who offer their accounts as collateral, but how much can you sell an account for? How much does rank, post quality, and trust affect the price? Is it difficult to sell an account?

If you are expecting to always profit from accepting accounts as collateral just forget it. Accounts prices generally always go down because the number available supply keeps increasing, and there are so many ways which you can lose the value of an account (owner scammed before, hacked account, DT user tagged it as changed ownership to you, etc).

It's not very hard to sell a clean account, but some users have starting to take action against account sellers.

Is there a general guideline for how much an account rank will sell for?  Like 0.015 loan for full member of fair post quality or 0.3 for senior member.

Did you just ask for advice on how much you can scam from loangivers ? Because that's how it looks like.

There's this http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/ but that's only a guide. The only way to tell is by seeing what accounts sell for via auction or in the digital goods section.

I think the account values fluctuate with the fortunes of the signature campaigns. Anything with negative trust is totally worthless.

If you accept accounts as collateral for loans, then it is expected that you are selling the account in case the loaner defaults. That immediately gets you branded as an account seller, and would most likely get you insta-negbombed by people who are against account trading. I believe there is at least 1 person in the DT who is vocal against account trading, so you can say goodbye to your chances of having a clean Trust rating once you get discovered dealing with account trading. I don't support account trading either. I feel that had to be said.

Having said that, this (http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/) was already mentioned. A good rule-of-thumb would be to sell an account for 150% of what its rank is capable of earning by participating in the 3rd-5th highest earning active signature campaign for 1 month.
