I want to send 0.001 BTC to pyramining address. I am using the Bitcoin-qt client for windows. Although in the "options" transaction fees is set to zero, whenever I try to send, it asks for a transaction fees. How can send without a transaction fee please? ??? Transactions less than BTC0.01 always require a fee of at least BTC0.0005, to discourage spam. If you use a modified client to send it without an appropriate transaction fee, the transaction will never be confirmed (so don't do that).

The protocol will happily support sending transactions without fees, it just may take forever to confirm. I sent once just yesterday, took eight hours to confirm. It is generally better to include transaction fees if you want timely confirmations, but there is nothing preventing sending without one and you will eventually be picked up. Send your wallet outside the system directly to the receiving party. Inform them to send the money to themselves and then wait for confirmation, before assuming they really have the money.
They pay the fee, not you. If they need fast confirmation. Their decision. Can someone help me on sending money without money? Sending the wallet and asking them to redeem it is just a security nightmare. especially if any of the wallet addresses might actually have appreciable incoming funds in the future. |
