Well on Bitcoin-Central BTC are selling now at €79.9 which makes them $102 each.

This feels to me like an unstoppable roller coaster - it'll either go stratospheric >$1000 real soon now or crash and burn - there's no middle way!

The middle way could be anything between 100$ and 1000$.
Just stating the obvious :p

Which year will he win the Nobel Peace Prize and the Nobel Prize of Economics? He should win all of the above if this Bitcoin thing really takes off (which it by no means has done yet).

The number of people participating in the Bitcoin ecosystem has definitely increased dramatically in the past few weeks.  My node used to see 25-60 connections; it has 120 now.  I had to double the bandwidth of the connection in order to accomodate the traffic.

Don't the number of connections depend on your bandwidth?
