Title: Re: Hmmmm 95 to 83 in < thirty minutes Post by: boscorocks on March 28, 2013, 09:41:27 PM Ready to go below 78 now..oy. Of course Coinbase isn't helping because they are out as always. Lots of people probably really want to buy right now but can't because of them.
Apparently Mt Gox is having problems too so it should be interesting how this one plays out. It will clear eventually. Title: Re: Hmmmm 95 to 83 in < thirty minutes Post by: boscorocks on March 28, 2013, 09:46:20 PM dwolla has money waiting as well :( but that's down. perfect storm [/quote] Wow, perhaps the bitcoin trading "infrastructure" is just not able to handle the sheer volume occurring now. That won't be good for the future when interested people want to get involved but can't. Doesn't make the amazing fast system look very good! Title: Re: Hmmmm 95 to 83 in < thirty minutes Post by: Richy_T on March 28, 2013, 09:48:35 PM Anyone who thinks this is a catastrophe should remember that several years ago, the GBP fell 20c against the dollar, ~2 -> ~1.80 virtually overnight and is now hanging out around a little over 1.50. Now, that was a serious hit and supposedly a solid currency.
Title: Re: Hmmmm 95 to 83 in < thirty minutes Post by: DataPlumber on March 28, 2013, 09:53:01 PM Can't get money in to buy >.<
Whoever's selling should realize that they're hurting themselves by not allowing buys to get in under them. Nothing like a panic sell while people can't buy >.< Oh well, it'll be a better "sale on bitcoin" when I finally get there. Assuming it hasn't totally rebounded >.< Title: Re: Hmmmm 95 to 83 in < thirty minutes Post by: piramida on March 28, 2013, 09:55:36 PM Usual stuff, shaking off some scared newbies while gox is lagging.

Or raising the bottom.
If that was an organized market manipulation. Hmmm. Title: Re: Hmmmm 95 to 83 in < thirty minutes Post by: Richy_T on March 29, 2013, 03:39:35 AM Yeah, the DDOS on Dwolla now appears to have been no accident-- they didn't want anyone getting buys in and preventing the inspiration of panic. Or raising the bottom. If that was an organized market manipulation. Hmmm. It has occurred to me that some of the lag on Gox might be some kind of DOS attack since it has proven before that that induces panic selling. Seems like it would definitely be worth having some fiat on other exchanges in the event this happens again. In fact, it would be interesting to see if that is where a lot of the buying occurred. Title: Re: Hmmmm 95 to 83 in < thirty minutes Post by: zedicus on March 29, 2013, 03:42:29 AM Maybe they are part of a series of companies who stand to to be immune from lawsuits of a particular bill or law passes!
(the sky is falling the sky is falling!! -----------------psst was that good enough??) http://gizmodo.com/5992652/that-internet-war-apocalypse-is-a-lie http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/shortcuts/2013/mar/28/spamhaus-internet-attack-pr-stunt I signed up with them and then during the sign up the demanded SSN! I told them to go f*** themselves and soon i found out even if you dont finish the signup process because of not wanting to give them your SSN then they will just keep all the data you sent them and wont delete your account or your data for three years while they share the data with their "partners". They then sell your data to data mining corps!! ( a different kind of mining) lol Now keep in mind data mining corps wont give you s*** unless you have 10-30k worth of names, addresses, age , dob, ssn, cc #!!! (well what an easy way to get data, just say the word FREE and the tards show up (including myself) and hand over precious data!) FOR FREE!! Willingly!!! They sell youre info and make $$$ even if you don't use their services or not!! dont use paypal, dwolla, and the rest of these dirt bag companies ! Just add them to the list of dirtbags..sony , godaddy, bfl, dwolla , paypal + 300 other companies i wont list right now! BUT https://mtgox.com/ may get added to the list if they keep f****** around! THATS WHY WE ARE HERE AT BITCOINTALK!!!! -----> so we never ever ever have to deal with these ****'s! :) Title: Re: Hmmmm 95 to 83 in < thirty minutes Post by: Buffer Overflow on March 29, 2013, 08:55:28 AM Treeshake!!!
