From the article we see that bitcoin is mostly being used for illegal things, fake ids, gambling etc, which is a bad marketing for bitcoin. I have a feeling that when more and more people are using bitcoin the more bitcoin will be lost (unusable) and by this the bitcoin price increases. The bitcoins are transferred from people to people and to miners which spend the bitcoins too.
