Bitcoin Extra Wallet is an Android app built upon Andreas Schildbach's popular wallet, with additional features. You can use it to exchange and pay to altcoins using ShapeShift integration and you can export your transactions for accounting purposes. I have already developed the Peercoin Android wallet (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.matthewmitchell.peercoin_android_wallet) and NuDroid (for NuBits) (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.matthewmitchell.nubits_android_wallet) which also have these additional features. The app is open-source under GPLv3.

ShapeShift Functionality

ShapeShift integration allows you to pay to alternative coins such as Peercoin or Litecoin with your Bitcoin. Simply scan a QR code, follow a payment link, or enter an address for a coin of choice. You can specify a Bitcoin amount or an amount in the other currency. When you send Bitcoin your funds will automatically be exchanged and sent. It couldn't be any simpler!

The supported coins are: BitCrystals, Blackcoin, Clams, Counterparty, Dash, Digibyte, Dogecoin, Emercoin, Litecoin, MaidSafeCoin, Mastercoin, Mintcoin, Monacoin, Namecoin, Novacoin, NuBits, Peercoin, Reddcoin, Shadowcash, Startcoin, Storjcoin X, Vericoin, and Vertcoin.

Ethereum is not currently supported, however may be added in an update. ShapeShift is not used for Bitcoin only transfers.

ShapeShift is a third party service: http://shapeshift.io

Other Features

  • In the menu you can export your transactions to a csv file.
  • No registration, web service or cloud needed! This wallet is de-centralized and peer to peer.
  • Display of Bitcoin amount in BTC, mBTC and µBTC.
  • Conversion to and from national currencies.
  • Sending and receiving of Bitcoin via NFC, QR codes or Bitcoin URLs.
  • Address book for regularly used Bitcoin addresses.
  • When you're offline, you can still pay via Bluetooth.
  • System notification for received coins.
  • Sweeping of paper wallets (e.g. those used for cold storage).
  • App widget for Bitcoin balance.

What a amazing features you have there, shapeshift, conversion to mBtc, Btc. usually I don't use android wallets but I can give this wallet the chance because sometimes need to work with some altcoins.

Only one question how bluetooth transaction works?
Had me brain storming too! How can one connect to the network from Bluetooth?
Fortunately, after doing my homework,I found this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=278237.0 where Andreas Schildbach answered everything in detail, right in the first post. What  surprises me is the method was introduced way back in 2013 and not many use it yet.

OP,mind adding exchanges where credit cards are not needed like Unocoin(India) ?Or localbitcoins ? Just a suggestion.
