Please share your performance results for LTC mining on 7850/7870. Also please post your card model and vram size. Title: Re: 7850/7870 LTC performance Post by: ryantc on March 30, 2013, 01:54:45 PM I got this XFX 7850 Core Edition
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150642 with OC of core, it's mining at 310-320Kh/s :D Title: Re: 7850/7870 LTC performance Post by: pr0d1gy on April 30, 2013, 03:03:52 AM Asus Radeon HD 7850 2gbGDDR5
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121651 Default: 860 Mhz GPU / 1200 Mhz Memory At that rate i get 340-360 khash/s according to GUIminer... Overclocked to 1050mhz gpu / 1450hmz mem and it goes 350-370 khash/s... Title: Re: 7850/7870 LTC performance Post by: Yurizhai on April 30, 2013, 03:06:47 AM Can you post cgminer settings? Not the super long douche one. The bat file config.
Title: Re: 7850/7870 LTC performance Post by: pr0d1gy on April 30, 2013, 03:10:38 AM using GUIminer ver of cgminer
threadcon: 15508 vectors: 1 gpu threads: 1 use stratum: no flags: none worksize: 256 Intensity 14 will get me 300-330 and i can use computer without it being crap Intensity 17 ill get me 350+ but pc cant be used. on the cmd ver i got... cgminer --scrypt -o http://xxxxxx:xxxx -u user.1 -p x --shaders 12404 --intensity 16 --worksize 256 -g 1 made the bat file with egEasy, cause i dont know how to really use the cmd ver... but it gets me 340 khash/sec with them settings Title: Re: 7850/7870 LTC performance Post by: Yurizhai on April 30, 2013, 03:40:27 AM Wow thank you so much man. Been struggling forever to get more than 280 hash a sec, your settings are getting me 350!
Wait wait.. no.. I'm getting HW.. Title: Re: 7850/7870 LTC performance Post by: pr0d1gy on April 30, 2013, 04:17:58 AM Whats

You shouldn't be getting any, I got a couple within seconds on those settings. Title: Re: 7850/7870 LTC performance Post by: pr0d1gy on April 30, 2013, 04:28:22 AM Have you tried over clocking? Hit like 1000mhz...
You using GUIminer? Or what? Title: Re: 7850/7870 LTC performance Post by: Yurizhai on April 30, 2013, 04:42:31 AM CGminer. 7850's are just a bitch for scrypt - at least in my experience. I get 330 Mhash/sec easy but nothing I do for khash works.

Finetuned 7950 run at ~650 khs... yeah even with best results: 250€ 7950 @ 650 = 2,6 kHs per € 130€ 7850 @ 400 = 3,1 kHs per € 7850 20% better performance (and i am not even couting W) Title: Re: 7850/7870 LTC performance Post by: p00chie on May 21, 2013, 01:43:03 PM Got 2x msi 7850 2gb oc 1.138 and can't oc engine more than 1150 (stable), best results 360 kh/s with 1050/1250... That is true. I have the same results. You have to increase VCore slowly (5 mV steps) --> my cgminer will crash only if something went wrong you will get around 396 kHs with 1150. Tc should be really high --> i need 12k to get no HW errors. Intens --> 19 You should not have to increase mem to get better performance. also the higher the engine clock the better... If you found the sweet spot try to increase both values that you will remain the ratio Title: Re: 7850/7870 LTC performance Post by: jayjay2244 on May 21, 2013, 03:12:27 PM GUIminer sapphire OC edition 2gb i get 320 KH/S with default high settings @ 16 intensity. I'm using the gigabyte GV-R787OC-2GD. I bought it from microcenter for 250$. It is very easy to use - compared to my 7970 cards. Hashrate: 450 kh/s (scrypt) I run it with 1.1 mV instat of 1.219V (?) (msi afterburner). CGminer 3.11 I: 19-20 thread currency: 24000 shaders: 1280 enginge: 1080 memclock: 1435 The temperature is usually 68-71C (card is directly above my power supply, but no other card is next to this one) Title: Re: 7850/7870 LTC performance Post by: iGotSpots on May 21, 2013, 03:54:04 PM Wow thank you so much man. I'm getting HW.. --thread-concurrency 8192 Increase the number if you want to, that's just the number I use for my 6950 miners Title: Re: 7850/7870 LTC performance Post by: pr0d1gy on May 21, 2013, 03:55:42 PM Hey, I'm using the gigabyte GV-R787OC-2GD. Tell them to match price, and get difference. or Get it from frys.... (if you can) |
