There is no definitive site which will show you 'real' bitcoin price. Bitcoin is traded on many exchanges all over the world, on every single one of them price might be a slightly different.
Usually there are no much difference. But imagine situation where some whale shows up and start buying BTC off one exchange - price will go up there. And soon every other exchange will update price to reflect that.

For your price indicator just use exchange that you are using to sell/buy BTC.

I think you can use bitcoinaverage which gives average price for overall exchanger, but if you are merchant who like to get exact price than use the indivisual exchange api to gain price where you mostly trade your bitcoin for fiat.

Many replies but none of them voted, I voted for coinbase as I check more often the price there, but if you want to see the price on multiple exchanges at once then go to coindesk.com/price and check the exchanges that are there and you can see in the graph the bitcoin price on each exchange.

Btc price at any exchange depends on some factors like trade volume of that exchange at any given point of time and buy and sell order. No exchange have any pre-set rule to determine btc rates and it varies every hour or even seconds.Someday exchange X may have better rates than exchange Y.On other days it might be a different story alltogether

I voted for coinbase because it's the site I use most often, I'm quite satisfied with their exchange rate as well as fees. bitfinex, bitcoin average, and bitpay are fine as well, though I still prefer coinbase.

Bitfinex and huobi having a large of the gap with another exchange site in their rate of bitcoin. but you're right that is caused by a lot of factors and we can't just define with the sensitive rate.

exchange sites never give you accurate rates because they need some profit for themselves. actually they are doing a business so the rates there will be slightly higher for buying and lower for selling. if you want  accurate rates then you should visit preev.com . it is simple to use and the page loads very fast. just my 2 cents!
how many times i need to reply in all post that i am not asking any other site then that what i habe listed in my post . but you can't understand .
Bitstamp.

Basically is not having differences between all of the exchange site because their rate is following their demand and supply but it's just about the users is can define it.

price of bitcoin in every exchangers is different and it's depend on the market activities and the last deal/transaction affecting the current bitcoin price
and for the accuracy of the price i use coindesk because it's having a bitcoin price stats from various exchangers so you can get the average price
or just use preev, they're merging various price from various exchangers into one

In my opinion BTC China is more sensitive for update bitcoin rates, and should you add huobi market on your list because almost all of markets from China have sensitive for update bitcoin rates because China has big amount miners.

i usually use bitstamp in my mycelium but if you just want to get the better rates among them, there is no sure thing about that as exchange prices can vary, they can sometimes be the highest and they can sometimes be the lowest among all.

I use bitstamp because I think they are among the most reliable, have good customer service and protection. Actually don't have much experience with other exchangers.

Must be btc-e.com, their future customers lost the position and the site forced to buy/sell make the price very sensitive.
