Just i introduce this turm.

Click on your profile name and the number that appears at the ending part is your user ID here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=834384
834384 is your user ID.

Click on your profile and then you click Show Posts at Profile info on your left and it will appear on your number id at the link like this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=834384;sa=showPosts and the number is the user ID.

How stupid!! am i..I've no idea about this.

No, this is topic number reference, not user ID!
Just read the replies above yours and you'll find the solution...

Step 1: Click on your profile
Step 2: Find Modify Profile
Step 3: Click any of the below in the modified profile
Step 4: Your Profile info will appear in Top
Step 5: Find the link like this:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1116605;sa=forumProfile
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1116605;sa=theme
or etc.
Step 6: Find the number in link like Example in my User ID in my link is 1116605

Remove anything after the ID number. Example:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1128520;sa=account

This will give you the "You don't have permission to modify or assign membergroups." error.

This works.

I have another way:
1. click profile
2. click show the last post of this person
3. select the top post
4. search for your profile name, click
5. Copy url https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=884912
six digit number is the user id

First you go on profile and then you see left side summery click on summery on the top of it you see your number which is it

so you stay more than 240 days here and not know how to find your ID  ::) ::)

This does look quite strange because most users here who have done enough activity must already know the standard information like this. but it could be a reality because of lack of information and also no sense of desire that usually begins because it is less needed. so I suggest to some new users who are familiar with this forum it's good to learn from the beginning and open every post here. it can be a good start of knowledge and we can use for later in the future. a lot of information in this forum and if we have a desire then we will surely be able to get a variety of important knowledge.

You can find it once you click the profile tab button here that has glow of blue color and onve you're being directed to the landing page ypu need to click again for forum profile information or any link that is located at the left corner of your screen and at the top of it in the chrome tab you'll find that link that contains your USER I.D.

user id is the one in the url which is u = 132364 as example.

I was able to find my profile number when I used Chrome.  You can't view it on Safari.

First of all your UID is 834384, If you do not know how to check your user ID you can go to your profile just click on summary then check the above websites address in address bar the value written after profile;u= is your Profile ID, you can check someones by going to his profile page.
