Title: GPUs power in every coin [calculator]
Post by: marco0070 on September 08, 2016, 10:33:23 AM
Hello everybody,
I'm new here and sorry if I'm violating the rules somehow.

As you know AMD GPUs has good power for mining some coins, ethereum and etc.
Here is my question,
Is there any universal calculator that can show what certain GPU can do with many different currencies,  of course approximately.
For example here is one   https://badmofo.github.io/ethereum-mining-calculator/
this site says that AMD HD 7970 has 20 MH/s  and it gives certain numbers for ethereum.
Now if I want for example mine Monero,  I'm going here  http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/monero-mining-calculator
it asks hashes per second, 7970s 20MH is 20 000 000 hashes and it is giving crazy numbers  ;D
could you please help to find out for example what can do  7970 with several famous coins.

Every coin has a different algo and every algo is different for every card.

7970 gives 17mh/s with ETH

XMR will be about 525h/s.

21.5 MH/s on ethash per gpu and with the same card on cryptonight i get 575 H/s

Sapphire R9 380X

Thank you both,  I was wondering if there is some calculator for that,   like whattomine.com,  this site is good but has only 2 GPU's,
why they have only two of them?

two short question,
1) how come up that accoriding to whattomine.com 750ti has more power is some algorithms than 280x?
2) Is there  any correlation between different algorithms? for example if 7970 gives 17mh/s for ETH,  how to calculate what power can I get for XMR?

Every coin will be different, and the only way to know is when someone trys it out on that specific gpu.

You have to do a lot of searching sometimes.

this may help http://www.mininghwcomparison.com/list/index.php

i guess there is no such sites as each coin is different for each card and will take considerable effort to make one !!
