A what price for BTC did you first buy some or mine some. IF so are you ahead? (Did you keep it ..dump it....spend it..hoard it?)


In the great 'ledger' of BTC .......I guess I'm asking ....are you ahead of the game? (have some at that price) or dwaddled back in the

day and alas did not jump on the boat ..so to speak.

As an example in my case. Most was mined. 100 BTC intial BTC price I mined my first BTC was $150 usd even. Thus because

I have a 100 BTC ...I'm ahead ..even after equipment from electric and mining of about 75 BTC.

I was here in late 2014 (I assume price was somewhere between 500-750$ back then) , as I'm a teenager , I don't really have an income (I don't work) which lead me to offer services , selling goods etc... to earn my bitcoins. I'm holding since I first got involved and I only spend in occasion (which I really need the money) otherwise I just keep it.

I got my first 1 btc  in 2015, i got it from working freelance in a site that pay bitcoin and combine with the winning prize from competition, if i am not mistaken at that time bitcoin still in around 400$, i dont really pay attention because at that time, i dont want to sell and i want to keep all my bitcoin into investment

Sadly i am very very late entrant in this field,just started collecting with the help of faucets,i am learning more about alt coins right now,you are just a lucky chap to enter at an early stage,are you still holding those coins,what you do to increase your coins.

In 2015 , it was about $400-$450  . Because it's still easy to earn your first bitcoin in those year.
And the easy way to earn is from signature campaign , you can post 100 posts to get 1BTC Full (i saw it in locked signature list)

got lucky into mining with a knc jupiter 550gh in oct 18th 2013.....BTC was $150 usd ....by thanksgving was over 1k....I roi'd on the $7,131.80 unit in 3 weeks lol :)

53 BTC out of this unit (still holding)

having drunk the kool aid....i ordered (as 1st batch 1st offered prev customer of knc) an 11k usd Neptune BTC miner but in 2014 was allowed to xfer that order
(the btc difficulty rising made me nervous...I was right the Neptune was late big time ...I think maybe folk got 25% of investment back NOT counting electric)
so anyway for same $10,131.80 with shipping on a Titan (promised in JULY/AUG ..came in NOV lol) :) WAS SO SCREWED....

then LTC crashed and spent all of 2015 minning LTC at like $1.30 usd hoping LTC would come back ...sold at 4 bucks plus something...and ROI'd on machines

since then have been lucky and tripped over extremely under priced Titans...so it is all luck.....

home mining is kinda dead *unless trip over dumb luck deals like I happened to*

I recommend 'attic mining' you go to your attic (in my case probably full of 5K worth of crap) sell it on ebay and buy BTC with it

the only profitable low risk (again unless you trip over some great deal) then asic mining btc or LTC or whatever

then again missed Ethereum boat and missed Monero boat....so now just mining with the 3200mh of Titans still hanging together and holding 100 btc

for me BTC will only really really be back imho when it hits the all time high again .damn it......if BTC ever gets to 1200 usd I'll have a lot less angst

about all this and call it a win....currently at 2200 usd after elec from mining LTC am paying down my 30K of into all this (from all electric since oct 18th 2013 to July 2016)

I figure I MIGHT just mine enough before these puppies go door stops to get close to or hopefully knock all my invested $$$ away and show 75 to 100 btc

in the clear as profit on all this....(of course then  that means at that point.if reached I've jinx'd you all and it all goes beanie baby and worth 0...sorry in advance how my

luck works)

anyway been a lot of fun ..but w/o any home miners worth running at 14c kwh in NEW asics (scrypt) kinda just wrapping it all up




Yeah I think GAW miners ..when they just did hardware used to pay me 0.5 BTC a month..then I think it sat awhile at 0.25 BTC ....then they went scammy
(paycoin and cloud mining of same) and I dumped out of that sig campaign....slimy buggers..still not in jail thou...

i can tell you that i had touched that bitcoin in 2011, but not used since it was too much blockchain requirement and too large amount of fees(for that generation of bitcoin)

I don't remember the exact price, but it was certainly under $100.
Doesn't really matter now, because I've long sold them when they were at $1000 and alos bought some stuff with them.

I still own some, but bought them at a much higher price.

I bought my first btc when the price was $250 last year, I have never mined any coins as I don't hold any knowledge of it and after that I am just trying to earn it in different ways.

I bought my first bitcoin early this year and that's when its $400-600..though I mined with it and got some more btc..

when I knew bitcoin for the first time, the price was $250s, and then I clicked some faucets, read information about bitcoin, and was told about this forum.

and then some time later, I got some pennies by joining signature campaign when the price is about $300s. I was happy, but the income was small

I got plenty of bitcoins at $200 range. Good investment for me and my partners.

I didn`t bought or mined my first bitcoins.

I sold a service to a guy and got 1 btc before one year.

At that time, bitcoin price was around 300$.

about 150$

since i started only for 8 months i guess i think the price at that time was only $400 or below if i am not mistaken. I think that time that it was a good amount tho when the month of june came it boosted to almost doubled its price.

Just got my BTC in 2014 and And I bought it between the price is in $200 - $300 and just trying for holding it and keep that in my cold storage and for a few month the price increases in the out of my prediction and that is very awesome but at the time is still a teenager.

I was unlucky and clueless enough to buy my first BTC right after it peaked in December 2013. The price was around $860 and as it started to drop, I converted all of my Bitcoins to Dogecoin which had just started to pick up steam. For some time I really thought I was gonna get rich with Dogecoin. Yea I was that naive  :'(

I never bought bitcoins, the day I entered bitcoin world I am just earning it in different ways, initially I started with signature campaign and once I had enough earnings, I decided to go for trading.

I bought a $5 worth of bitcoin back in late 2014 when bitcoi price was falling down to $200. It was out of curiosity that I decided to buy some and invested it in some ponzi. Lol. I have no idea what I was doing back then. Luckily I got my money back and everything ends well for me.  Now I'm just eaning my bitcoins in trading and some side jobs.

i was in bitcoin at 2014 maybe that was pretty late and when price hit approximately $500 to $749

and i don't ever mined bitcoin and my experience purchase bitcoin when the price hit 550

Got introduced to the forum in early 2015's.Bought my first bitcoin from an exchange for $255 roughly.Surprising how the results in the poll are highest at this period of time.An indication when bitcoin started to take over.It is safe to say people who bought bitcoins while in this phase are early adopters.Price literally double and sitting there for a long time.

I first got my first bitcoins just a few months ago, I think It was around $600. So I'm not ahead, Actually you can say that I'm just a newbie. As of now being active in bitcoin talk allows me to earn bitcoin and gain more knowledge about it.

Late 2014, bought my first bitcoin around $200. Bitcoin was easy to make then, spent most of my time in trading.

By 2015 I joined this forum, started gambling and earning in campaigns.

I have long since sold and bought at higher prices. Highest sell for me was around $1000, Highest buy at $450-$550 range.

An estimate shows I'm still ahead. I don't buy much except on the early days but have sold/used more. (wins/earnings put together)

I'm still crying coz I missed the $20 or less bitcoin price, If I was a year earlier I'd have made a lot more for sure, too bad I was overseas. sigh

Earned at the +$200 level...and hodl, hodl, hodl!

Definitely ahead of the game. I love the poll, great idea. Having 100 BTC is a crazy idea, and I know there are so many with 100s or 1000s. Good luck to you all that do!

I joined bitcoin world only on May of 2016 so I'm here only few months. That time bitcoin costed something like 400 and something dollars. Today it is a bit higher, but I expect bitcoin will grow more. And then I will cash out all my savings ;D

I remember, someone paid for me on a gambling site where I actually won so I got my first BTC from his money. Since he didn't want a share from the reward, he said "It's your prize, keep it!" and so I just had my first BTC.

During my early days of knowing bitcoin, the price was at $200. Honestly, I didn't buy bitcoin with fiat that time and earn it rather. I did earn through PTC sites, claim on faucets (well, that time faucet earnings were higher than today) and earn from referrals too. After a couple of months, what I did was withdrew half of my coins and kept the other half on my wallet. I never withdraw my earnings again since then and just keep it until now (I don't have big amount though).

I bought 3 @ $12 each, and when the price rose to $70, I sold whatever I had left.

Then I started mining with the Jalepenos. Good times.

i know bitcoin at june 2014 so the price in range $500-$749
and got it from buy at local exchange i cant mining i dont have the hardware

never tried mining.. i bought 20$ worth of bitcoin and invested it to hashocean which scammed so many investors bigtime.. lol >:(

I get my first bitcoin after the bubble in 2014, though the price of bitcoin is declining, it is still a higher that what it is now.  I got bitcoin when it was around 850 usd - 900 usd.   Then it started to decline down to sub 300 at 2015, though i can say i might be at a loss when i sold my bitcoin but the trading of altcoin saves me  and even got a profit from my initial capital.

I was able to bought way back 2015 which the price range $450 ,but its a mistake for me to invest on crowfunding ,donating and Hyips sites whuch turn my bought btc in all lost . Then i buy again and thats a good start from now and then . I'm not ahead because i have no big amounts to buy in the first place .i finally invested when i found it out the news of halving and what halving season does .

when i bought the btc than the price was $433/BTC . when after purchase btc the price goes diwn suddenly to about $330/BTC .
i think the buying btc is also a trick or idea for everyone that , which is the best time to buy and sell .

I bought my first bitcoin for $500 just this year.Actually the actual price is around $450+ but the site is selling it for $500 so I just bought it because I really wanted to have bitcoin so that I can invest it in a site which promises high return only to find out that it disappear after a few months in which I was able to get back only about half of my investment. I use the amount I got back for trading and slowly getting back the amount that I lost. I am not aware yet before of the scam going on that's why I immediately joined without any doubt and then later learned my lesson.

Well, I actually never mine or buy my own Bitcoin because I always earn it online. But I want to try to do a Bitcoin mining, I know it requires a lot of money to start it from now, but if I do have enough money then I will do it and I would probably just keep my mined Bitcoin in 1 wallet that I won't spend it at all.

When I first entered bitcoin world at that time bitcoin price was 22000 INR but when I actually bought bitcoin It's almost double. It was 41000 INR. So damn unlucky guy I am. If I had bought in first time then i could have another 20k in my pocket which would be enough to buy a superphone.

i am one of those who has bought bitcoin in the range of $200 and $400 it was a very long period of time and we all had enough chance to buy it when it was cheap so i did and now i am happy with it.

Same goes with me, I never bought bitcoins as at that time I was not having enough money to invest in it, so I started to earn it and mining is an costly affair to me so never tried it.

I get bitcoin the first time in 2014. I got it for free at the giveaway event. The current rates are at the bitcoin price 400 USD.

Neither bought nor mined. I only got my first bitcoins from faucets because that was the only way I knew of getting bitcoins, I got my first coins back in late 2013 when it was about to reach life time high of $1200 a coin. Also I had some faucets with 10 satoshi payout per day  :o

I did some trading in 2014 (I think it was) when the price was high at 400-500 ish and made some profit but I was investing a very small amount of money back then because I was a newbie and I had no idea about anything so I was gathering experience so to speak.

but my main investment was last year when the price wen down to $220 and it was almost stable at that range. I bought as much as I could with the money that I could spare to invest  and continued holding and also did more trades in the meanwhile an I am ahead so far.

Same here i first get it on faucets bevause at that time i tought that i can only earn bitcoin through mining but my pc is not capable og doing so i search for other method and thats the time that i learned faucet
