LTC is always a good buy at these prices, because there is a low chance for a great loss (not more than 10-15%), but you have to wait few months until you have some decent profit.

it is always good to buy litecoin, and since the price of LTC has been somewhat stable with little changes i say the current price is as good as it gets.

and also yes in the past litecoin price changed with bitcoin price most of the time so it is safe to assume it can happen once again.

LTC is stable at 4 dollars and it seems to be in the process of bottoming. However, it is a boring coin with little volatility. It is a good coin to buy with low risk but you may need to wait for a long time before the coin goes up.

Litecoin is a pretty boring coin because it always stays around the same price(around 4$ right now),  it is pretty stable and you would have to wait a huge amount of time to get some profit. I would suggest buying when it dumps a bit - about 3-3.5$ if you want some decent profit when the price gets to the normal floor - around 4$.

not for me. it's the coin that will not pump. i find it really weird that any old piece of shit goes through the roof apart from ltc. you could interpret that as people accumulating for the pump of the century but i ain't one of them.

screw long term. alts are only good to make btc in a short space of time. ltc will not supply that.

since some recent days i am looking to purchase a altcoin whose price is low and there is full chance to increase the price within 2-3 months .
and i think LTC is now a better option for me but still i am curious about the price increase surely or not .
if you can make sure me that price will increase then i will try to purchase LTC .

Honestly buying a small amount is always better to so if you feel not good to invest high amount go to small amount just backup if the price of litecoin will increase soon.. this is what my strategy do.. because  you will regret always if you dont have a backup altcoin if the price is increasing..

A lot of folks think low volatility is a desirable attribute in crypto.  Makes for a better currency.  As for litecoin, I think it'll be one of a small handful of survivors,  and buying it now is probably a good idea.  But OP, I'm not a professional financial advisor by any means.  Lol

I wouldn't do it personally. Forget about LTC and focus either on BTC or some new ICOs.
I think that LTC lost its momentum and its is going nowhere as a coin. Expecting it will go up is only wishful thinking.
The only way it would be good investment - if you know for sure or will wait for another spike of price...

litecoin price is not exactly $4 yet but yes it is still a good time to buy it and litecoin despite being old has always been keeping up with the market and been going up after long times of staying silent.

We know that LTC price and bitcoin price have the same direction, if Bitcoin went up LTC will go up, if bitcoin is stable, LTC is stable, thus if you think bitcoin will go up you can buy LTC, however you won't lose a lot if bitcoin price didn't change or moved down.

The litecoin is a stable coin. It might rise a lot, but it will rise steadily in the future if there is no big bug in it.

it has not happened so far and it will not happen in the future either.

but that doesn't mean litecoin price wouldn't rise in the future because it has always been getting pumped after a period of time when the price was stable like the current period. also the price of LTC has always been greatly affected by bitcoin and bitcoin had a rise recently.

especially when the Chinese decide that it is time to make some profit now with litecoin the price will go to the moon once again like before.

Chines are not some big believers in anything, not even in bitcoin, they are more pragmatic

Litecoin need more adoptions and to make place by BTC in usage (which have not happened at all) that is the main reason for LTC decline, it will keep declining or leveling at this level till that happen if it happen!

If the price of bitcoin is increasing with the limited available investors then the price of altcoins will decrease and in that case we should have to focus on bitcoin only but if the price of bitcoin is increasing due to more adopters then it will not have any affect on altcoins as altcoins will have their investors in them.

It depends on the intention of the big whales. When there is big price rise of the bitcoin, the litecoin might follow.

Those whales are holding a lot of LTC to control the value of this altcoin.. they are just gradully increasing the value until traders are attracting again to invest until reach their goal to dump all ltc..

Yes I think it has  a good future but we still have to see this if the bitcoin rise it will also help the litecoin without any doubts.

With the recent lights put on litecoin there is hope, i can't deny that, but a project with a promise? No I don't expect that. With projects as ETH, XMR, Dash or even Lisk which offer real innovation, litecoin is and perhaps will stay a baby.

Everyone forgot about LTC so no one is trading it.

Litecoin has become the trade coin for chinese investors. They want to pump it again, but nobody knows when that will happen. I guess when the dev launch some features the chinese will take their chance and pump the hell out of it.

I would be careful with litecoin. The coin itself was an great asset but even with the plans that are announced I don't see real innovation to be honest.

The litecoin development is quite slow. There is little community support for that. That is due to the factor it is ASIC mining now.

I could really definitely say that   litecoin development  is  very slow but still they are   listed and known  to be  included on  top  alts  because its already 5 years old  already , one thing i could  notice is  they  dont really put  up too much  effort on  marketing their coin.thats why.

There has been a decent amount of LTC activity on some of the Chinese exchanges,
so I wouldn't be totally surprised to see a pump to 0.007 or 0.008 in the near future.
But there is probably an equal chance of the price sitting where it is for the next few months.

litecoin is turning into a very good long term investment unlike the new hot altcoins which will be pumped in 2-3 days and then die again.

The litcoin has smaller user community than before. That is mainly after it became a ASIC mining coin.

litecoin has been known to follow bitcoin, and as we know it it is already one of the first copies of bitcoin and in the past litecoin price has changed with bitcoin price in most of the times.

so i think now that bitcoin has started going up once again this can be the jump start for litecoin too.

Maybe people are selling the litecoin and other altcoin to get some bitcoin before they start investing in ZCash.

I think in comparison the gains in Litecoin are about as fast as Bitcoin, there is not real advantage between the two but if you check the math out yourself maybe you can inch some better results by looking at past rates of change between the data sets.

Which one? I believe this is not right time to buy any altcoins, so litecoin also should be avoided as of present trends. When bitcoins is going on up surge, most of the investors move their money from altcoins into bitcoin, so altcoins may face heavy dumps. $4 is good price to buy litecoins, who knows? you may get another better price also to buy.

in my opinion the main cause why buy support decreasing day by day because there is no big pump for Litecoin and because people aim to trade the particular altcoins is profit i think it's normally if people leave Litecoin temporarily and the price movement on poloniex only less than 1% everyday so people will more likely to find other altcoins which give more profit rather than trade Litecoin

i hope litecoin will rise again in near future since this is the first scrypt coin ever created i expect more activity and more positive news from the development team in the coming months,it is really under valued at the moment

I don't think so. Although price is cheap there isn't any interest in this coin anymore. Ethereum is the #1 altcoin and ripple next. No one cares about LTC when it's at 4th place. Besides, the special properties that LTC used to offer has already disappeared and there are better alternatives already.

for now situation, i think its not a good buy because when i see on poloniex in btc pair ltc, there is a downtrend on ltc but i am really not sure about this. so if you decide to buy litecoin, my suggestion is better you wait for a moment to make sure that the price is not going down too deep. and for now, i hope litecoin could be up like other coin too.
