Title: OpenChain Opinions?
Post by: crypity on September 09, 2016, 05:30:19 PM
I have been reading the docs and make a Docker test setup of https://www.openchain.org/

It seems to be a private "blockchain" but from my initial digging it seems to be (gasp! ::)) .NET and use SQLite as a data store.

Anyone have any experience with OpenChain or can recommend a better option? There seems to not be a lot of 3rd party information online.

Thanks!

When someone says it is a "private" blockchain then it is not a blockchain. What would you need a private blockchain for? Why not use Oracle database or something. That might suit their clients needs better.

Have you checked http://www.multichain.com/ seems like https://www.openchain.org/ and multichain are quite similar. Both are to create own decentralized coin as sidechain. I think USDT can be taken as decentralized token based on sidechain, so this tools could be useful in launching similar tokens with fixed values for real life application. But i haven't tried their service myself.
